I hadn't planned on posting the inks of this side-commission here, but had made enough revisions to it that I thought it warranted at least sharing.  I shored up a lot of the things bothering me about the image.

The friend I'm drawing this for did like it, and was a tabletop gamer themselves years back.  When I had mentioned in our conversations that the gnomes in the home-brew world I was nailing planks onto had a more 'feywild' aspect, with horns and tails, she loved the idea of this character being taken out of he 'WoW-verse' and given a Felwroth makeover.  She even graciously allowed me to take the character concept into my own mythos within reason, as I did like the idea of a nearly feral gnomish barbarian type.

While my time is too limited to take on another commission just yet, it did make me ponder on the tiny-terrors and tricksters of my world.  I'm not sure if I'll be drawing many of them as of yet, given I want to get a good deal of painting done this month, as well as finally get some images of Javarran cities and towns sketched for sake of record.

While I was asked not to name the character or server the friend played on, in this universe I see the character as a bit of a barbaric wandering sellsword that ends up finding a hidden grove of fey-styled creatures (Centaurs, Satyrs, etc), perhaps settling into that space where life isn't quite as harsh.  Though I know that's a bit of my bleeding heart showing through there.

In the meantime, I'm off of vacation now.  I'll be sending out the next note to the next sketch-recipient about mid month with the goal to finish it before end of month as usual.  I'm working on getting inks done on a couple pictures to then do paintings of.  I'm in a bit of a creative lull due to the season, but I have plenty of back-log images to do paintings of until I can get in gear again.

My character in Skyrim is a female Khajiit. Aeonna Nihte-Skiye. That may or may not pique your curiosity. ;-)

I'm slowly starting to feel better about taking on commissions again. Still constrained by time, but the very real block I had about doing commissions at least can be broken through. And Skyrim is pretty ingrained in my wheelhouse. I've poured through the artbook and world often :)

Great characterization. This is someone I could pick out of a crowd, and maybe find a mead house to swap a few tales.

This is super! If you're ever in the mood to tackle a commish again in the future, I wouldn't mind having to part with some coin for a Skyrim inspired piece that would introduce my character to that world. ;-)
