Berben Muu - (sketch preview)
Added 2018-08-25 22:58:20 +0000 UTCAnother sketch I wanted to get down in some form. Chime meeting the first Haunok she'd ever seen in her fairly sheltered life.
The shop is an herbalists and alchemists named 'Grazing Fields', named as a bit of an in-joke between Torvael, a large Haunish gardener and his mate, a Lorrnath from a little place called Aulenne in Orthiene, named Colbey Arcand.
The pair settled their shop in a town named Berncairn in the Aucebrian province, the location a perfect spot as many nearby rare herbs can be cultivated and grown, and the town is peaceful enough to allow for a relaxed lifestyle.
Trying to get the offset between a very tall Haunok (generally around 7 feet or so) and a very bitty Chime (Under 5 feet) was a bit of an undertaking that I hadn't realized, especially when I had an angle like this in mind.
I loved this meeting though. Chime was wide eyed. She'd never seen a 'moo' before, given she grew up in the cold mountainous area all the way in the south continent of Agencald. (Across an ocean).
I've got to try and colour it too. This one needs to be a painting I think :)

I does need painting. Congratulations on getting the height difference worked out. It looks really natural and not surreal or "off" somehow. Very good job. I like this interpretation of relaxed lifestyles. It allows for more open discussions and deeper connections. This is the kind of thing we need more examples of. I love how people from difference backgrounds and lifestyles can meet and it not turn into an "issue." I also love how Chime is free to dress and express herself as she likes. That's so important to a stable and healthy community as well. Keep being awesome and making inspiring work.
