Added 2018-02-09 23:30:54 +0000 UTCJust a preview of a rough 'life scene' of the Stormshoals. Cinders is shameless about singing her favorite songs (this one has swishing) and she's pretty good at it. Berrand and Aodhan both seem to enjoy the show with breakfast.

I only have a rough idea of the layout of their home. Mostly the living room area and kitchen areas, and a few of the garden buildings. Its always appeared to me as almost 'hobbit-like' except for larger sized folks. The place is vibrant with plants in the spring and summer and a festival of leaves in the autumn. The snowy months are warmed by a large central hearth (the corner of which is in the picture) as well as smaller hearths dotted around the property, each home to one of the fire elemental's she gives shelter to in the cold months). All in all, it's an environment that allows her to remain without pants and still be cozy :) Its indeed a palette cleanser as far as images go. I don't often do family pictures like these, and needed to practice up on people's placement in perspective, especially when they're all very different sizes (Cinders clocks in at 5'0, Aodhan at about 5'8 and Berrand at 6'8). Hoping to at least give this a colour treatment. I'm unsure if it will be a full painting, but I'd really like to try out some warm indoor colours with this one :)

This place must be huge and from the stonework, very sturdy, and (for Cinders sake) warm. I always approve of her style of dress too. It's no wonder she feels like singing and swishing. Great room layout too. I love the stone work and the little bits of plaster falling off the back walls. Good touch. Such a great scene and atmosphere. For all the darkness and chaos you've written about, it certainly offsets these scenes of happiness and joy. Makes us hope it never reaches them, but, as stories, go, right? I hope you're able to finish this. It looks like a lot of fun. Good luck.
