Moving to a new City. π
Added 2021-05-25 21:33:24 +0000 UTCThis summer, I'll be moving from the Midwest to the West Coast! My good friend, 12, asked me and my partner, Kiwi, to move with him across the country. I was hella nervous at first, but I think it will be good for me to get out of my home town. It sucks to grow older in the town you grew up in. I could go on and on about that, but I'll keep this brief for now.
For the next 5 weeks, I'll be house hunting, renting a place, packing my whole life, and starting the next chapter of it in a new city. I'll say more about where I'm moving once we sign the lease and it's completely official. I don't wanna jinx anything, haha. Though, if you watch Kiwi on Twitch, you probably already know. He's been much more open about it lol
Have any of y'all ever made a big move? The furthest I have ever moved away from home (Akron, OH) was Pittsburgh, which was only 2 hours away and I lived there for only half a year lol. So this is very new for me. I'm curious to hear y'alls experiences and stuff :3

After my mom died the rest of my family abandoned me and my dad...well, he was actually quite abusive to me. So i decided to cut them free and moved 15 hours away. I'm originally from West Virginia but now live in Missouri. My boyfriend left his abusive family in Northern California and moved in with me a couple of days ago. I've been much happier since I moved and even more so now that my boyfriend is here! Good luck majira!

Planning on moving from Scotland, where i have spent the past 22 years of my life, down to the south of England where most of my british friends live Itll be a huge move, leaving my family home and moving out for the first time, moving to a new country (Yeah its only like a 5 hour distance but it is a completely different place) and being able to live close to my friends and those i care about and get away from my family and the mental stress they cause me Hope you all have an easy and enjoyable move to a new place with new horrizons!

I love to travel, but it's hard for me to imagine living anywhere else on a permanent basis because it seems like everywhere else is so much more expensive, and I'm so perfectly centered within most of the country that it makes travel really easy.

2021-05-25 21:39:07 +0000 UTCThe farthest I've moved was from California to Nebraska (about 1,200 miles) and it was stressful at first for me and my family but after a few weeks of settling in and unpacking, it went pretty smoothly. If you need any advice on what to prepare for I'm always available :3 Hope your move goes well for you and kiwi! β€οΈ
