Devlog #11: Drinks, and the Lady Who Makes 'Em

HEY FARMERS!

Think y'all have been waiting plenty long enough to finally see what's been going on behind the curtain for the new build!

FAIRY POKER!

The card game is finally all finished! In total, there is 10 different fairies, all with unique dialogue and spritework.

Originally, the goal was to have a colour variant of every unique fairy spread across all 5 colours, but honestly, it just didn't add much to the game except for bloating the file size (and not in the fun way) since they have an ABSURD amount of sprites. So, instead, each colour has 2 different fairy variations.

A lot of you have already tried out the demo, and if you haven't, GO PLAY IT NOW!

For those of you that have, thank you so much for the feedback! Some fixes and slight changes have already been implemented in order to help clean it up for the full build release!

THE STAR OF THE SHOW

Of course, we all know who the REAL showstopper of this update is! We're finally getting a new villager in town!

You've already seen peeks of her in previous devlogs, but here she is actually in-game!

She will sell the various different alcohols that you can give to either villagers or dryads in order to bring about various different moods and states.

Plus, Mocha's a bit of a drinker. Those beers might be a good way to get on her good side with that new relationship system...

DID SOMEONE SAY BEER...?

Yeah, so that's gonna take a bit more explaining.

Rejoice, all ye who are into intoxication kinks! Holly's got just the medicine to cure what ails ya!

Holly will sell 4 different brews. Standard Beer, Fizzy Brew, Libido Brew, and Dryad Brew.

While it's expensive, beers are a great way to put weight on the cows without making their fullness go up! However, they have another effect. Every time you give one of these brews to someone, there's a chance they'll get drunk on it.

Getting someone drunk on standard beer will just make them slur their speech a bit and hiccup.

Getting someone drunk on Fizzy Brew will make them bloat with gas, constantly bubbling out belches and gurgling with every step.

Getting someone drunk on Libido Brew will make them much hornier and handsier, and they might even want to makeout regardless of your relationship with them.

And getting a Dryad drunk on Dryad Brew... well, who knows what it could do?

I was working on other projects, but now that I'm back from development hiatus, I've been wanting to lock in and focus on putting the update together as quickly as possible. :)
