Miribelle the Gunslinger - August 14th

Colour version of the Gnomish gunslinger.

This is actually a character I'm playing in a friend's game. Its based in Felwroth though.

We tend to 'world jam' now and then, and the subject of gnomes came up at one point. I never was a huge fan of how gnomes are represented in game worlds. Not because there is anything wrong with them, but I wanted something a bit different for Felwroth. The world tends to draw from magic and the 'fey' quite a bit. It has ties to spirits of all kinds, and I always liked the idea that Gnomes were more 'puckish' than tinkerers.

Gnomes tend to be akin to Gypsy wanderers in many parts of the world. They're tricksters, they're tied to the Sylvanic land, which is considered a 'myth' to most people.

I wanted to reflect a little of that in the 'Wroth gnomes. Where Elves represent the primeval and wisdom of the Sylvanic, the gnomes represent that mythical and whimsy attributes. Thus they often have faun horns, or tails akin to that of 'unicorns' or similar creatures. The darker ones might have attributes of imps, with forked tails, and yellow eyes.

Miri herself has a bit of 'faun' and 'unicorn' in her looks. She's from a more established enclave so she was able to invent a great deal of 'interesting' features to her wheel-locks. I'm looking forward to seeing where her life leads. :)
