Wanderlong - July 3rd

Just a bit of an update.  The weather here is nothing short of wonderful and abysmal, depending on if you like to be out in the sun on impossibly hot and humid days or not.

I don't.

But artwork is continuing without too much interruption as I have a 'portable studio' of sorts to use when I don't dare turn the work desktop on in this kind of horrid heat.  The next few updates might only be sketches in black and white since Its not easy to do complex colour work on a Surface tablet.

There isn't much I can do until the heatwave passes.  Its going to be about 32C (90F) with a chance of high humidity on Saturday, with temps slowly climbing until then.  Air conditioning isn't something I can do since the electrical design of this house was done when Lazarus' great grandfather was born, and it would only be used for about a month total out of a year anyway.

Commission info is coming.  Much as I wanted to get it done last month, I've had a couple test commissions proposed to see if I can even handle the load, and had a work proposal suddenly come in from a company I've worked with in the past.  Still testing the waters, but I hope its do-able.  Its just getting all the ducks to line up.

And getting them to wear tuxedos.

And little top hats.

Did I mention its going to be a busy time? ;)

That said, I'll have more 'poni' sketches to go out, the painting to start of the tomatoes picture, another painting to start on commission (which I can post here with permission), the next comic page in the inking stage, the next row of races of Felwroth to sketch out (females this time!), some 'story time' stuff to post with illustration, and of course the sketch for this month's patron to do!

I like being busy.  Now if I can just get the weather to calm down a bit (though it is really good for the garden, I shouldn't complain too much).

Lastly, but not least, I want to thank each of you.  Sincerely.  Thank you all so much for being patrons, or even just interested in what I do.  To the new people: Hello!  I hope this journey will be a fun one for you all too.  And to those who have been here for many months, I hope its been fun.  Lots is planned for the future!

Cheers,

-T.J.

Weather and temperature don't normally bother me because I've never had a choice and just had to get used to it. I hope the commissions work out for you. Good luck. Congratulations on continuing the work you've started. I'm really looked forward to the next comic page. Have fun and stay cool.

I loathe humidity when it's hot
