Rusted Kings (inks) - March 20
Added 2017-03-20 23:40:23 +0000 UTCI'm a bit slow this month. With contractors at the house tearing up the bathroom and having to clean out decades of junk between the day-job I'm actually surprised I got the inks done for this pic!
The inks are fairly basic. I tend to not go too crazy on detail when the image is destined to be coloured, mostly just hashing out lightly where shadows will lay when I do my overpaints.
I ended up wanting the 'king' she's reading to look as decrepit and old as possible, so I hollowed out his head and gave one of the local chickadee's a home.
Patron sketch is next on the agenda, as well as finishing the colours for this image. Coming next month the day-job will be no more, so I'll probably pour into drawing as I do my job-search, so I'm hoping that might mean s'more sketches and weird things here.
