March Updates!
Added 2016-03-02 22:27:11 +0000 UTCHey all!
Its already march. Feels like I blinked and suddenly February was gone. But I figured I'd do a brief update of things that I'm hoping to get done for this month.
First up, thank you all. I know I probably babble to much about this, but the help that I've got from Patreon, especially these last few months, has been pretty amazing. I'm hoping the resulting art has been worth it.
Going forward I have a few things that are in the midst of being sketched out/completed:
Tides Comic
Finally continuing after some significant re-writes. I'm hoping to perhaps at least get page five fully coloured/lettered and at least have page 6 sketched you before the month turns over. The good news is that some of the main characters of the series finally start appearing in page six and beyond. The bad news is that things are going to get crazy for the people of the little seaside-town of Nautu'Loa.
Painting
There will be at least one painting this month. Like last month's painting it will be rather large, in the 20" x 30" range. I'm going to do a few smaller scale images as well more as illustrations (coloured with lines), but no promises on how that will work out until I start sketching.
Sketches
Speaking of Sketching, the next person on the $10 tier will be get a sketch on the 15th. I'm just in the refining stages of last month's sketch now, which should give me some time to get painting work/comic work done before diving back into sketchwork. So far, so good!
Misc
For the last several months I've been drawing with a fairly badly screwed up shoulder and upper back. This came from really terrible work-practices on my part, being hunched over a tablet for hours on end without break really did a number on the upper back and neck that spread out through the shoulder. Its meant I've been a bit slow at times and I thank you all for your patience with that.
The good news is that I've completely re-arranged my work-space, and work practices and it's started to pay off. While I'm still on painkillers sporadically, I can actually get through working without both of my eyes trying to be in one socket. I'm still not ready to go full bore and have been limiting myself to six hour days for the time being and forcing myself to take at least one day off on the weekend.
I've also been really behind in catching up on correspondence as well. I've got a bunch of E-mails to answer back as well as a few messages on Patreon itself that I've realized were sitting in my inbox. I should be caught up on those in no-time.
Other than that, it seems to be business as usual. I still can't take commissions on yet while limiting my time at the tablet, but after some consults with the doctor I'm hoping that I can be healed up enough to take on a commission or two in the coming months. No promises, but hopeful!
Thanks again, folks! Will hopefully have some art-stuff posted once payments process.
