I wanted to try out doing some pencil sketch types of images. There's a digital pencil bundle for Manga Studio made by an artist named Frenden that really stunned me. So much so that I bought out the mega-pack of brushes he offers.

I got into a mindset of trying for perfect edges on every image I did digitally that I wanted to break. Some of the charm of art is that there are rough edges, and mistakes that aren't completely covered up by going back over the image with a fine toothed comb.

So, Cinders ended up volunteering to pose in a few pencil sketch images for me. I admit I've missed drawing this character for ages now. I've been caught up in so many other projects that I've neglected some personal characters quite a bit.
