Just a short note to patrons. Due to some recent 'content grabbing' pledges I'm thinking of a different way to do distribution of higher resolution files in particular. I'm still working on this, however, but it may involve simply directly e-mailing the previous month's high resolution files (spanned over the entire month, as I don't want to fill people's in-boxes), or setting up a place online to get them from once payment clears for that month, with links directly e-mailed to people. I know this isn't ideal for everyone, sadly it might be necessary. The works in progress and 72dpi images (though watermarked in the corners/silent watermarked) will still appear through here. I'll keep everyone informed of whatever decision I make, of course. I'm not happy with having to make these changes but it's starting to become a bit of a chore with several people pledging, grabbing content, and then pulling their pledges. Patreon doesn't offer any protection against this whatsoever, and from what I can tell no system is being developed to better protect artists/content creators. I don't want to stop doing this entirely because it's a fun thing to do on the side, and I like the idea of giving back to folks that support me in a direct way. It means more to me than I can really put into words. -T.J.

Very sorry you're falling victim to this practice. It's becoming all too common. Hopefully they can come up with a solution that protects everyone, as the last thing I want to see is you being cheated.

2015-03-18 18:01:09 +0000 UTCDrop box was definitely one that I was thinking of going with. Another was perhaps Google Drive with specified users getting access to specified folders for that month. The down side is that eventually I'd have to remove stuff (maybe after a couple months) since space can start running low after a while, and it's a bit costly per GB to buy more space, but it's definitely a solution!
