Final "fantasy" fits, just like LotR. Expansive world high fantasy setting and enough material to flesh out a set properly.

Many great points were hit and I think one of the key things that should determine how big a university onset is, is how much Source material you have to work with. Spider-Man should have been the size of Assassin's Creed at best but it sounds like people in the office were worried about a similar reception. Assassin's Creed has existed for what, maybe 10-15 years? Spider-man, as a smaller set, with its 50 plus years of existence would have weathered that much better in my opinion. All of that being said I'm a high fantasy type of guy so gtf out of New York
