Re-editing Episode 183
Added 2024-02-20 15:07:59 +0000 UTCI just wanted to put up a quick apology, I have removed episode 183, a patron had a problem with it as he found it disrespectful, (when I touched the props in the deserted chapel and was trying to make the kids giggle) and I am truly sorry and upset that my actions have made anyone, particularly a patron feel like that! Also the comment was on YouTube not on here so sadly started a whole negative thread on the episode. I will do my best to re-edit, re-render and re-upload the episode as soon as I can, but please bear with me as this all takes quite a lot of time and data.
I would like to say this is a completely deserted chapel on a deserted island, not only is it unused but a day tripped boat comes everyday and lots of people spend a few hours laying on the beach there and poking around in the chapel, the boatmen even sell drinks and ice creams there in the summer apparently and it isn't used as a church. Sadly me and the kids tend to giggle and laugh about most things, but the important thing which came out of that beautiful little church was we literally had some great lessons on religion, different faiths, went through different ceremonies, and how they are carried out, which obviously I just used the funny, silly bits (like the mouse running out) to make you guys laugh in this episode, we also lite some candles and said a pray for our lost loved ones and took a moment to thank god and celebrate the wonderful opportunities we have been given. maybe I should have shown more of the serious side to our visit! Sorry Guys! 😘

I just remembered that the dog being inside the church could raise an issue. No animals big or small in a church. I'm really sorry... I don't know how sensitive your followers are.

I do hope it doesn't still upset some people 🥲 I thought it was just the bit where the priest stood to give his sermon from. 2024-02-20 21:42:58 +0000 UTCSorry for your troubles... As a Greek Orthodox myself I remember watching the original video and thinking that you are "walking on thin ice" in the church. I wasn't offended but I saw the "things" that could offend the more sensitive. let me clear some things I read in the comments: Covering your head is NOT something we do as Greek Orthodox {I think that's the Russians}. Walking around with bathing suits is frowned upon - if it was a "living monastery" you wouldn't be allowed with short skirts or shorts {men or women}. but I'm afraid the most important part is something that you still have in the new version : when you walk behind the curtain... that is not the confessional but the Sanctum of the Church... only the priest walks there. I know that you meant no disrespect, but to a sensitive eye is a lot... and I can tell you why this happened to you now: Since last week Greece is the first Orthodox country that by Law it is Legal for same sex marriage. {and all the implications that it has to adoptions etc}. It has been CRAZY the last months with all the talks and religious sensitivity is high... That is one of the things I love about Greece, we talk about church protocol but then you walk 50m to the beach and enjoy a topless {or even nude} dive... Keep up the great content that we enjoy. thanks

However I guess we all have to be a little more aware that a public outlet such as YouTube/Patreon has a variety of people viewing. I find that it is sad that social media platforms can on one hand preach liberty, freedom of speech and so forth, yet fail to defend such things in the name of "Morality". It seems to me that some people are really exhorting that we should have universal freedom of speech and creativity, but only if it coincides with their own moral code. Of course the big thing with all of this is that I know that we grew up in Blighty with a somewhat more live and let live attitude back in the day. With instances like this, I find myself yearning for those more carefree times, especially since I have been (ironically as it turns out), welcomed to freedom and the land of the free. But as I hear them say the wireless back home.. "Ask your parents.. Different Times!"
