0.5.5 - Update, Announcement, and the Future!
Added 2024-01-11 23:30:25 +0000 UTCHi hi! I’m back with a little 0.5.5 update, some super exciting news, and some notes on what I see as the future of Girl Games, so buckle in!
First up, let’s get the current 0.5.5 update stuff out of the way. I’ve (hopefully!) finally fixed the bug that was causing the game to crash for some people when the phone calls trigger. It seems like this was mostly affecting the online build from what I could tell - but maybe it happened sometimes too for the download version. Anyway, fingers crossed, that issue will be sorted from 0.5.5 onwards … I’ve also pretty much finished work on the Heather chapter. Heather’s was mostly done already from the previous 0.4 Godot build - it was just a case of polishing it, plus writing some new logic for the scene where you try to retrieve her phone in Jennifer’s apartment …
Jennifer’s meanwhile is a whole different beast, as this is the part where she tells you just how much you owe her so far, and offers you a particularly unsavory way of making it back (involving the Shady Alley location, mwhahaha!) … So that’s where I am currently. I’ve had a little more free time this month so far to work on the game and as long as that continues, I’m hoping to get a test build out to you before the month is through (maybe even the public version!), although I’ve learnt by now not to make hard promises. But yeah, that’s where I’m up to so far!
Now onto the much more exciting stuff! I’ve hinted towards this a few times in the past, but I can now say officially that have an artist on board who’s going to start work on redoing all the characters. Before anyone who loves the current art gets too worried, this is for waaaay down the line - it’s a huge undertaking to draw the amount of characters Girl Games has - and I’ve also got a plan for adding in a toggle within settings, so once it gets to that point, players can choose which art they want to see in the game. But I also have a feeling that once you take a peek at her stuff, you’ll see why I’m so damn excited to have her join the team …
So without further ado, and before I share with you some of the art she’s done so far, I figured it was time to pass the mic so she can introduce herself …
Oh hello there!
I’m so happy to finally introduce myself! I’m Peitho, a kinky and erotic artist. I’ve been drawing cute girls my entire life and am an avid video game player so I was absolutely peached when I was asked to be a part of Girl Games. I’m looking forward to hearing feedback on the character art and am planning to have lots of exclusive behind-the-scenes art content for you here!
A few fun facts about me: I have a Bachelor's degree in Illustration but I love all things to do with creative expression. I play piano, dance, and even spent a few years doing erotic audiobook narrations. That’s even how I met D.L. Savage! I’m a huge advocate for sex positivity, mental health awareness, and the LGBTQ+ community. I currently live in Germany with my family and two cats.
Thanks for having me!
She’s just set up socials on Twitter and Insta too, so be sure to give her a follow! And here’s a little sneek peek of her take on Amy:

As you can (hopefully!) see, the characters are going to be so much more expressive and consistent, and I’m pumped to see her takes on Heather, Jennifer and the rest of the gang. Do feel free to drop any thoughts you have in the comments, this is all still a work in progress. I’m sure she’ll welcome your feedback (from now on she’ll be logging in too to make her own occasional posts).
And while we’re on the subject, I thought it was time to share how I see Girl Games progressing this year - as we’re getting towards the end of the roadmap (!). Obviously I need to get the rest of the core story finished - up to the Games itself. There’s also some immediate follow-ons to that. Not to spoil too much, but depending on your performance in the game and the choices you make, it’ll lead to a hookup with a person of your choice. There’s also the case of how well you do (or don’t do!) in the exam, and a potential way you could sweeten up Professor Anderson to improve your grade. There also might be a little monetary reward from your folks, and if you please your mistress, she might offer a little “bonus” of some sort too. On top of all that, I want to get all the main locations totally functional and have all the extra randomised content like daydreams, interractions in classes with the mean gossiping girls, etc, all done and dusted.
So that would bring us to 0.5.7 (or perhaps 0.5.8 if the last build is just for polish and final loose ends tied up).
And then …
Well, that’s when I’m going to take a little time to decide - with your help, of course! - what works and what doesn’t so far, so that we can make Girl Games even better.
What can be optimised? What can be added/changed, to make it the best experience possible going forward? By this, I mean stuff like the UI - how could it be improved? I also want to start work on an android port, and of course think about how best to flesh out the game world (and mechanics - I keep thinking that it’d be so useful if the player could switch items between the closet and backpack, and also to give them to NPCs), to make things even more juicy and interractive.
It also makes sense to build out on certain storylines, related to in-game characters. For instance your romance with Amy, your relationship with Kevin, even the other characters like the Secretary - I want all the main NPCs in Girl Games to have their own stories, side-quests, and of course hook-up options. I also want a ton more things for you to be able to do on-campus and in the city, too: side quests, other jobs (call girl? hotel maid?), other storylines independent from the main “Girl Games” storyline, plus a route where you can ditch the competition altogether but still slowly discover the fun of feminization through solo experimentation … But I’ll make sure to include your feedback and suggestions, too, once we hit that point.
I’m so damn excited to get to that point, fleshing out the game world even more, and I’ll keep you updated every step of the way. So yeah, that’s my plans for the future. I hope it all sounds as good to you as it does to me! As always thank you so so much for your support. Hopefully this is the year that Girl Games truly takes off and becomes the game I’ve always hoped it would be, especially now that we have a fully fledged artist on board too, and I’m so excited that you’re coming along for the ride!
Here’s to an awesome 2024.

I like the art, looking forward to her version of Amy's ass sashaying away from us. So many possibilities, I can imagine some scenarios from your other stories showing up on this campus.
