January Update

Hey hey!! Obviously I'd love this post to be the one that says 'here's the new version - go wild!' but I'm afraid that day is still a couple weeks away. 

That said, I've made SO MUCH progress this month it's insane. It's been so so amazing to be able to treat this as my main focus for the whole of this month and honestly the game has come on in leaps and bounds as a result. Here's what I've gotten done so far: 

- all existing cut scenes completely rewritten/formatted as .json files (which are now loaded in as necessary, whenever a cut scene fires, and which mean that the whole thing is a lot less janky and liable to crash). 

- an even better re-worked conversation system, meaning each time you talk to Kevin, Amy, whoever, it opens up a new panel and you can ask them questions, etc - all of which constantly updates to a player databank, adding and deleting new conversations as necessary. So for instance, with Amy, depending on what you say to her on Day 1, it will load in different things on Day 2, etc, etc. This could have cool replay value and is one of many things I'm trying to add in at the ground level to stop the game from feeling to repetitive or grindy. 

- a new bank of fantasies (basically actual short porn movies that play whenever you masturbate, and which are dependent on what you have/haven't experienced in game)

- a similar bank of dreams (although these are just still images) - again chosen at random and responsive to whatever you have or haven't done yet in game. 

- even more work on the paperdoll and wardrobe functions/clothing stuff, which I know was playing up a little in the last version. Now there's some fun added features (including a visible bulge - which even changes on whether you are/aren't erect(!) and which shows through a dress/leggings/skirt, if you're en-femme and haven't tucked, lol!. 

- a shit ton of work on the quest system which is basically finished now and has so many cool functions. This is what's gonna be running behind the scenes and is what's storing data on what the player has or hasn't done yet. I want Heather's tasks to be something you can accomplish in your own time and so the game feels more like a challenge, where you have to try and complete her tasks before the timer runs out (i.e. Friday of Week 4). 

- everything to do with the Art Modelling job at Simmonds hall. some of you might remember this from version 1.5(?), but yeah, it's back! Now you can sign up to model nude in front of a room of strangers every Tuesday night to make some extra cash. 

- some of the Amy content (although I wanna include more)

So what's still to do? Well, there's a few more things I wanna get done before I post the new update - and which I'm hoping will only take me another week or two at the most. These are: 

- The Girl Games competition itself (this is going to be an actual MINI GAME, if all goes to plan

- as mentioned above, more Amy! I know some of you are fans (I am too) and I want her story line to be perfect. But I've got some fun stuff planned and I wanna at least put in one actual juicy moment with her before the end of Week 4 ;)

- The gloryhole stuff (<-- this is another semi mini game and I'm actually working on it right now)

- a final 'assessment' from Heather after the games, where she tells you how well you did or didn't do in her eyes. 

In the future, actually have some pretty wild plans for "end game" content, where the world opens up to be much more free and you can do whatever you want. And in that, after the competition, depending on how well you do/don't do in Heather's eyes, you might get some really cool new options opening up. But for now, I at least want the game to feel like it gets to a satisfying end point (for Heather's route), before I release this initial version. 

So yeah, that's where I'm up to. As you can hopefully see, I've done a ton of stuff - meaning I'm leaving billing on for this month, because holy shit I've been working flat out. That said, I'm not gonna hold it against anyone if you dip out before you're charged then rejoin next month once I drop the release. So consider this your heads up! 

And the next time I post, it will be to share the link to the game itself.
