Progress Update ...
Added 2020-06-11 19:51:12 +0000 UTCI thought I'd stick to my new promise of keeping you all in the loop with the game's development and give you a little update on my progress ...
Things are going REALLY well with the new Ren'py version. I promise that this is it now: from this point on there'll be no backtracking, no huge changes (at least not until I have the main story finished, lol).
I'm a little square eyed after a number of hours in front of my computer, porting across and re-jigging various elements from the last Twine version to the new Ren'py project. But it's all looking good and runs so fast and smooth its crazy.
Today I just got finished making the nav bar elements work, and figured they looked pretty nice up in the top right!

My next steps are putting back in a working inventory and paper doll system. And once THAT'S all done, then that's basically it - I can just get on with putting back in all the story up until the point I left it and then carrying on from there.
As for a timeline, I'm hoping to have the Prologue (i.e. the first introductory day up until you go to sleep) all ready to go with everything included by tomorrow - that way I can update the TFGames IDGB entry and take down that godawful Twine version that everyone complained about! I'm predicting some folk will still complain, seeing as there's still no new content. But hell, you can't please everyone! And by the end of this month, I'm hoping - fingers crossed - to have ported across a huge chunk of game content. Maybe the first week, maybe right up unti the games itself - who knows!
But whatever I manage to do, don't worry, I'll make sure for that main chunk that my loyal Patrons get a full week-long sneek peek before it goes live to the world. :)
