August's Print / Dragon Wanderer Final
Added 2025-10-08 22:16:36 +0000 UTCAugust's print is finished and mostly sent out to patrons who paid july 2-aug 1! I'm just waiting for stickers to arrive for the sticker tier patrons. Most Riso tier patrons should have gotten this Dragon Wanderer print in the mail already or it's coming soon!!
The Wanderer (part of my little Dragon Warrior/Dragon Witch series) is a traveling doula and doctor who comes to check up on the dragons when she can. She comes to visit mama and baby more often, especially while baby is growing their wings. I loved drawing little wormy (wyrmy) dragons this time, all inspired by my cat of course haha.
This Dragon Wanderer also keeps orphaned dragon eggs from getting scooped up by keeping them with her on her balancing staff, which conveniently also holds compasses and other modern thermometer devices used to take temperatures and get special dragon readings.
Far off in the distance is a fairytale castle, obviously Dragon Wander stays there and visits friends for tea. They wonder why she works so hard, she tells them she loves her job.
I made a little research and clothing reference file to keep open while I was working. I was very inspired by 18th century women's work clothing.
