Why Is Rain So Hard To Predict?

Not every type of rain is the same: some types of rain are easier to predict than others. In this video, we show you two different types of rain - and why one of them is tricky to predict.

While narrating this video, a thought that Cameron had was: "The Denver airport is so big and surrounded by so much nothing, that it will often be sunny and hot in the summer, but flights will still get cancelled because of thunderstorms and tornadoes parked on top of the airport. Convective rain at its finest, I suppose?"

When we were talking about this video with the team, we found that we all have different thoughts about rain forecasts. I (Lizah) used to check a rain forecast app to plan out my bike rides in the Netherlands, those predictions were pretty good and I regularly managed a dry commute to work.

Do you live somewhere where it always rains or do you find yourself looking at the forecast, hoping for some extra drops? Tell us more in the comments here, we love to hear it!

Thank you for being here with us - Lizah
