How to Fight Misinformation!

Some time ago, YouTube’s Learning team approached us and asked us to make a playlist about a subject that we are passionate about. Now, this was a challenging proposition because here at MinuteEarth we get very excited about all sorts of different things (it's a miracle that this did not become a Hyena playlist).
But after talking it over, we realized that the thing that we discuss most often as a team is How To Fight Misinformation.
In these times of information overload, it's sometimes incredibly difficult to confirm whether something you see or hear is real or not. Social media massively contributes to this problem; it is very easy for a false - but very exciting - claim to be shared or retweeted thousands of times before people realize it's not real. With the speed of social media, people (including us!) don't often pause to consider what we are reading and what the agenda of the original creator is.
So we put together a playlist of some of our favorite videos from some of our favorite creators about the plague of misinformation - and what we can do to recognize it and fight it.
