Hello! Happy summerrrr, it's HOT but we're still PRINTING (and fixing the Riso)!!

Below are the prints for May and June! These will go out to patrons this week and next week as I get caught up. Full disclosure, I'm still not receiving the correct lists from patreon, so I've been back and forth with them since May (but really since November) trying to get the right lists for May and June. I finally have them, they're all uploaded and ready to ship! If you paid on the $15+ tiers between April 2-May 1, and May 2-June 1 then you'll be getting these prints below! Full Riso breakdown with sketches, Riso layer process, bad prints, and Riso tips coming soon for these for the Studio and Riso tiers.
I'm calling this one Grandfather Mountain, which is inspired by The Green Man folklore character.

And this one is 'The Night Parade', inspired by The Brown Mountain Lights in Appalachia.

At the end of this week I'm headed to Stockholm to visit my friend for his wedding. I'm considering popping by a bar or cafe in Södermalm for a little while with some prints and possibly some books if anyone has requests! If you're in town and would like to stop in for a doodle in a book or anything, let me know. I think it sounds fun, especially because I'm rarely in Stockholm. I contacted some bookstores and they're all on vacation in July!? LOL should I be worried nothing is open??
I'll be at San Diego Comic Con again this year, catch me at FF-03 in Artist Alley! I'll be there starting wednesday for preview night, then I'll be on a panel about making the cover for DSTLRY's Through The Bough's anthology that came out last December! That's at 3:30pm in room 5AB on Saturday. Come visit if you're in town for SDCC, I'll have all my new prints with me, plus magic cards, my art book Dreaming in Color and HOPEFULLY a new zine!!

I've got two wonderful friends making an anthology book for Kickstarter featuring everyday joys that are also 'incredibly specific'. My 'Specific Joy' is the moment when you find peace after a long journey. After hurricane Helene destruction in Asheville, North Carolina I wanted to honor the joy I feel when I’m wandering the southern Appalachian mountains. There’s peace and magic there, and I wanted to capture just a little bit of my memories of this special place in this print.
This print is made with the classic fluo pink/yellow/blue combo! I loved being able to make lots of squiggly little tree roots and branches for this one. More soon!

"Come here," said the Dragon, "and tell me a story you've been dreaming to write."
Big news! I've made a little blank notebook :3 My first pretty large book making project, and hopefully the first in a long line of stationery and books!
I just got a few boxes of this notebook in the mail, which I'll be properly debuting at SDCC this year, but I'll put a few up in my shop beforehand for those who read this and maybe a little shop drop later in the week!! I'm planning on dropping these as part of a new series, but I'm not quite ready to announce it yet...so I'll add a few new prints and this book to my site tonight as a super secret 'soft opening' with a full announcement coming soon. I'm excited to share what I've been working on!

My favorite notebooks to write stories in are blank with buttery smooth paper inside, so I wanted to make my own! I especially wanted to make a notebook that inspires me to dream up whatever stories I want, and the dragon and little woodfolk creatures help me escape and find my own world to daydream in.

It was super special getting to work with local LA favorite Proof Bakery! These were made especially for them and debuted at their checkout counter in June. They'll only be available at Proof, so if you're in town go check them out! Best cookies in LA, I think.

Here are some sweet individual close ups of each sticker! pls enjoy <3

Last spring I was asked to teach a week-long intensive Riso workshop at the VIA animation school in Viborg, Denmark and this year they asked me to make their 'diploma' for the class! Here's what I came up for it- with an added 'Go together, uplift one another, venture into the unknown' motto at the bottom.

I'm planning to make this one into a Riso print as well, probably next year around graduation time!

And my favorite part- the sketch!

Thanks for reading!
