The Pulitzer Prize is NOT a Charity

I am very, very, very much in favor of DAMN winning the Pulitzer, even though I think it's the inferior work compared to To Pimp a Butterfly. I also think that it's a form of "consolation prize" in a way for the genre of hip-hop, but even in that, it is very important that it won.

Thank you for sharing this, Adam. Some of my students were grumbling the other day about Kendrick Lamar winning the Pulitzer. Your opinion vlog inspired me to do some further research and assign an extra credit assignment to my class, to learn more about WHY this is so important. I believe this will make them more open and diverse musicians. Again, thank you!
