Sketch for September's print (And sneak peek for October's!)

Hello! September is almost over and so is this print for my September 1st subscribers! This one is a kind of character sheet of a bunch of forest friends, with their names on the bottom! I grew up obsessed with Pokemon and loved looking over the big poster with all the characters and their names, but wanted to see them more in their environments interacting with one another. Adding more to the character introductions is what inspired this print! It's almost finished, but thought i'd share the sketch first.

I'm also making a washi tape out of these characters- keep an eye out for that with the Washi Station soon! That's why the characters are finished in this print but the borders are not. I actually sketched out these characters in this format first, then put them all in a line for the washi tape and finished them, then moved the finished pieces back to this format so they could be in a little poster and so we could see them all together!

There was no real inspo board for this forest friends piece, just dreaming of fall while listening to the fall soundtrack of Stardew Valley when it was 107 degreed F in Los Angeles lol.

October's Sketch >>sneak peek<<

I don't do this very often but I'm going to share my sketch for October's print because I'm so excited about it! I've been planning another dragon print for a while, especially for spooky season and when I saw Chappell Roan at the VMA's I was like D O N E. So uh hahah it's a combination of Chappell Roan, Joan d'Arc, St. George & the Dragon, and medieval fan art in general. Hopefully this will give some people who might be as into Chappell Roan a chance to get the print cheaper as well. I'm so excited to use Chappell Roan as the muse for this piece, and really excited about the colors I'm already seeing for this print (a very pink/red dragon, similar to the tomatoes in the Sunflower Fairy print).
