Weekly Update 9/20/24

Another week done, once again I only got one page done this week but that's because I was distracted by like 3 other projects. For this page I had to completely redraw the first panel and add some stuff in the second and fourth panel. First I will share the "finished" image, and then what it looked like when I started, and finally I'll go over the changes made and why.

Where we wound up. There will almost assuredly be adjustments in the future, but it is most of the way there and worth sharing.

As you can see, there have been some major changes. For starters, I fixed the perspective in the top panel. It's honestly still a little off, but it's much better. I had to readjust the pose and some of her anatomy. In fixing the perspective I had to make the right leg longer and fix her stomach. I also changed Toph's arms. I wanted her to be more of an active participant than just splayed out like that. I adjusted the breasts so they didn't feel separate from the torso. In the second panel I fixed her tongue (I'm very proud of the new tongue actually). I also added Colt's balls. It makes her sticking her tongue out make more sense. Because before, what was she doing? The dick is so far away from her tongue. But here you realize what she's going after. I also think it's imperative to make the point that he's the only one there with a pair. The reasoning for this is story-related, but we'll get to that later.

Thank you for another week. I should note that I'm taking an illustration course from a Korean illustrator and that's why I've been slow lately. Toph Heavy will continue in its current style. I just feel like I'm in a rut lately. I think I need to inject another way of thinking into my own. Being an artist is a life long learning process. I don't ever want to become completely stagnant.
