Part 3 - Page 5 - Ink
Added 2021-03-08 19:54:48 +0000 UTCI have a confession. This is my least favorite page in Part 3 by far. But I don't want to dwell on it. If I have time when everything is said and done, I'll come back to and completely redo it.
The script is basically: Toph flashes back to getting a meal at her favorite local diner. The diner is run by a girl who used to bully her and the former bully is super pregnant. Toph is eating her lunch at the counter and the woman's water breaks. The leave really quickly, and toph earth senses the birth which puts her off of ever having children.
If I'm honest, the entire thing is complex enough where I may need to split it in to two pages to really make it read well. But this isn't what people are here for, so I'm kinda rushing it. For now, this is what its looking like.

Take your time if you need it. Part of the interest is in the story as well as the art. That being said, I find it hard to believe that Toph would have been bullied at all. Besides being a daughter of a very wealthy family, I could see a bunch of "accidents" (nonfatal of course) happening to anybody who persecuted her even if she did have to keep the image of a blind and weak child.

2021-03-08 20:51:04 +0000 UTCWe're here for your work, and developing the story is part of that. It's a comic, not just a series of hot pin-ups, so if you have to split it, split it. If you think it's important to the story, then it belongs in the story. Though I'm not sure how Toph would have had the chance to be bullied by someone who now runs a diner. Given the protective and upper-crust nature of her family, I wouldn't have thought she got to interact with the "middle class" at all.
