2022 Video Roundup! | Thanks Patrons❤️

Here is our yearly round-up! Somehow I thought I already made it, but woke up in a random panic realizing I had not. So here we go!

Memories!

2022 was a solid year for us and has is in a weird "grounded but transitional" period. By that I mean we now own a land and a house in Japan (it's weird to even think that still lol) but Kyde has left her long-term job in search of education and hopefully something different and new in the future.

I also managed to get a motorbike license in Japan after many many years of "well, what if we leave, it will have been a waste" and I'm stoked about the adventures we will be bringing you guys on two wheels.

As far as videos we uploaded videos filmed in Kyoto, Kobe, Tokyo, Nagoya, Hokkaido and more totaling over 21 hours of watch time. Oh and we filmed a series in Okinawa, so we really did the far north & south thing. Also of note: that house video we made got over 700,000 views, which is exciting as it's the most viewed video we have now! It has dethroned a 7/11 video we made in a whim in 20 minutes a decade ago, hahahaha.

2022 also saw is start a series of livestreams called "Us Watching Us" where we are going back and watching our own videos from 2009 and 2010. We will probably keep that ball rolling for a long time as it's been a blast for us to remember fun things and cringe at the cringe ones, haha.

Speaking of livestreaming it's been something I got a tad...obsessed? with in 2022. It's a ton of fun to go out and explore with people and I have especially been enjoying taking photos and sharing them during streams. I'm not a great photographer but this has been a great way to start getting gooder at it, maybe in a decade I'll be a respectable talent, haha. Hoping to expand into more livestreaming in 2023 as I build out the tech to do it smoother on bikes & maybe even a motorbike.
