Most of my work involves VFX. Basically 99% of everything you see, has some sort of change or fix to make the growth. The biggest issue is the size changing elements. Because they lose resolution. And end up looking like shit.
To be clear. The videos are still being done in 1080p. I can't afford to finalize videos in 4k. The space alone is 3x what I'm at. And I'm already using 5TB of storage. But benefit of using 4k files, is the double resolution and 3.5x bitrate. So things that grow will no longer get blurred or look like crap. Comparison below with the old shot, vs the new shot.
