I cannot tell you how cathartic it is to hear Artosis rant about the bullshit of Canadian trash bylaws. I laughed for 5 solid minutes. It really is as ridiculous and petty as Artosis makes it out to be. I stopped trying to dance the stupid monkey dance of Trash Law YEARS ago. I never thought Artosis would be a dump run enjoyer like me. Hahaha

Preserves more recyclable fiber from the cardboard, rather than having the boxes reused as shoddy, temporary, waste containers with who knows what inside. It's quite a manipulative squeaky wheel for being a lowhanging bitch about: -Increases odds of recyclable material. Cardboard was notoriously fickle to recycle, even grease stains from pizza can ruin a box for recycling, or waterlogged papers. -The boxes breakdown into a discrete "flat" state to show progress minigoals for recycling. -Eases requirement on mobile presses and compactors, increasing fleet fuel efficiency I still stuff boxes in a collapsed box, then tie the twine around the outer most. -Because it is enforced through fines, odds are it will spur either future compliance, or civic participation to end it.
