Greek Gods and Heroes of Olympus (March Release Video)

Here is the March release. It’s been a long time coming because it is just massive!

The reason for this is because we are trying something new. So please keep reading for some very important information.

New Tier(s)...

As I told you before on several of our communications channels, I plan to record a video to answer recurring questions and comments, together with a poll to help us make this Patreon even closer to what you really want.

But while planning this, several things became obvious to us:

• Some of the few are more interested in unique characters, be they heroes or monsters
• Others are more interested in “cannon fodder” types of miniatures, either to use them as NPCs for your RPG encounters or to build winning armies for your favourite wargames
• It is also very clear to us that it’s really hard to cover some themes with just 15 to 20 miniatures… For this Greek release, we created something like 20 Heroes and monsters, and we barely scratched the surface…

That’s why we are trying something new in MARCH.

→ The LEADER tier ($10) that you’ve been subscribed to continues to exist and remains the same, with many Heroes, Big Creatures, Centerpiece(s) and a sprinkling of non-heroic NPCs/Troops.

But we are about to add 2 more tiers:

→ The PHALANX tier will focus nearly exclusively on Troops/non-heroic NPCs, 15 to 20 of them. It will also include modular scenery and/or scatter terrains. It will be priced at $9.
        Edit: However, it turns out  that managing this tier in parallel with the Leader Tier is not  possible on Patreon. But all the Phalanx models are part of the Overlord tier:

→ Best deal: The OVERLORD tier is also a new tier for those who want it all, and more! It will contain ALL the miniatures of the release + an exciting exclusive miniature such as a mounted hero or a special creature or a very unique character.

The OVERLORD tier is probably the one you want to get because it will contain 15-20 Heroes and Creatures, the crazy Centerpiece, 15-20 Troops, and the exclusive Overlord special miniature. 30 to 40+ models!!! It will be priced at the crazy price of $16.

This offer may evolve in the coming months based on your comments and suggestions. It will also depend on the amount of work necessary for the team to produce this crazy amount of content.

At this time of writing (while we are still in February), you cannot switch to these new tier levels as there is no content for them for February. We plan to enable these Tiers on March 1 and you will be able to switch tiers at that time. But note that the Phalanx tier might not be possible to implement on Patreon, we are actively working on this.

Seeing is believing, with the absolutely ridiculous amount of models we are giving you in the first-ever month of the Overlord tier. 

What characters did we choose for this release?

You know that I usually go through your comments on a video to give you feedback about how we plan to use your suggestions for the upcoming release.

This month was a bit different.

First, because we needed to test a new workflow to be able to output twice the usual number of miniatures, and that took a long time and added new constraints for the crew.

Second, the parameters of the Greek theme are well-established and known to everyone: it did not lend itself, at least for a first run, to crazy ideas like “I want vampires at a Venetian masked ball”.

Third, this theme is so huge that we wanted to cover key elements first. Maybe, if you want to, we can add to it in the future.

Finally, I prepared a video that I did not have the time to release, in which I go through our previous releases and put forth all the characters that are directly inspired from Greek mythology and that you can easily add to complete this release, such as Satyrs, Dryads, Sirens, etc. I will post this video in a few days!

A few more things :)

So we hope you enjoy this video. Some of you will recognize some of the suggestions that they made for that release!!

For the Centerpiece, we tried to go for a crazy mix of something that could be the top of Mount Olympus or an Escher-like Minotaur Maze or an insane construction standing somewhere in the desolation of the Tartarus…

Please note that when putting together the modular parts of the scenery elements, you can recreate your own buildings using the same style. For this first modular release, we did not have the chance to test a specific system of assembly, but the best way will likely be to simply glue the parts together or magnetize them. We’ll work on that in our future releases.
