January Under the Sea: Tell us more!
Added 2020-12-02 17:35:19 +0000 UTCFirst, thank you for your great feedback on the release of the Host of the Demonicus. The team takes to heart all your comments, and your kind words contribute to keep our artists excited and motivated!
News
The Host of the Demonicus Unsupported files will be unlocked on the 3rd (so tomorrow). For the Supported files, I'll have the deets on the 3rd as well.
About A Wizards' Christmas crowdfunding project, we moved the launch date to the end of this week and are moving away from KS, as we were discussing with a partner and came up with an opportunity for an alternative platform which is so interesting and exciting we have jumped at it! So if it works, this is breaking new ground! More soon on this!
Next month?
We asked for ideas for January's release, and 2 ideas seemed quite recurrent: Mermaids/Sirens and the Wild West. We love both ideas.
However, Wild West is quite far away from what we've ever done, and we will need proper time to do it justice creatively. We will want to do lots of research, mood boards, tests, and more, and so cannot be done in time for next month's release.
Tell me everything!
So, Mermaids! Wonderful theme, with much richness. And not just Mermaids, but Mermen of course, and sea creatures too. So just like you did a few months ago for the Feys, please tell us what you would want to see and play with in that release: what kinds of troops, what kinds of Heroes, are there specific creatures you have in mind?
Also, click on the Little Heart below the comments that you agree with, this is incredibly helpful for us to determine what's most popular.

The support file of count zalfeed is not in the files?

2021-02-07 14:42:23 +0000 UTCWow! Admittedly, I signed on as a patron when I saw the amazing work on these pieces! I'm not a gamer, I'm a professional mermaid, and these things are amazing! Let me know if I can help with lore or anything! Wonderful creations!

2021-02-01 05:33:16 +0000 UTCI love all the work you guys do. I am still going to keep posting requests for steampunk. Who doesn’t want to see unfettered science gone mad and the creation of steam powered monstrosities! Also who doesn’t love the Victorian era’s love of corsets (well maybe the women at the time minded) but my point is it is awesome, rifles, mad science, steam powered monsters I would even include mad alchemists and Frankenstein in there

2021-01-03 08:46:52 +0000 UTCThe merfolk are gorgeous, but I don't see myself ever using them in any games. They do make me want to create an aquarium though. Like, LEGIT without fish, just one to house these. LOL.

2020-12-08 16:48:43 +0000 UTCActually, It would be super useful to have some pieces for river environments - particularly barges, docks, fords, ferries and all sorts of creatures and infrastructure in a fresh-water environment. Perhaps this is out of scope with this particular set, but this would be super useful.

2020-12-08 16:40:51 +0000 UTCYeah I have spent too much time collecting the most inspiring art for my own reference. I do like to share where it is relevant. If it helps anyone looking at these, there are browser extensions for Chrome and Firefox called Bulk URL Opener where you can just paste in a list of URLs like the above ones and it will open them in separate tabs or windows for you.
Chris Lee
2020-12-07 12:44:11 +0000 UTCA lot of these designs are actually pretty amazing. If I had to say my personal favorites, it would be the crab and manta mermaids, then most of the monstrous designs are also very unique and have great designs.

2020-12-07 04:50:35 +0000 UTCI have been collecting reference material for interesting merfolk concepts (as in any variation on the mermaid theme, mixing different sea animals, some including human legs). This Pinterest board also includes centaurs as there is a little crossover between the two. Instead of explaining the specifics I thought it best to include it all so you can see what I am referring to for your own inspiration. Here is the whole board: https://www.pinterest.com.au/infin8eye/2-fantasy-magic-punk-aliens-monsters-and-creatures/merfolk-and-centaurs/ In the comments below I have linked various specific examples.

2020-12-07 02:04:29 +0000 UTCAnglerfish merfolk would be awesome
bobacus
2020-12-06 23:36:15 +0000 UTCA leviathan like in the Final Fantasy Series, because I really haven't found a similar mini like that! But other than that, loads of Mermaids of course (perhaps there could be a salt and sweet water release), kelpies, hippocampus, kuo-toa's, sahuagins. Oh, and your guys take on a dragon turtle! oh or guys take on a dragon turtle :)
Kurt Grosjean
2020-12-06 19:44:58 +0000 UTCSomething like the Kraken, maybe giant crabs, kelpie...
Micca MacKay
2020-12-06 17:57:01 +0000 UTCSea creatures, whales, sharks, turtles, little reef area's with some fish. There is a lot of things I can think of when it comes to the Under the Sea theme.

2020-12-06 01:17:35 +0000 UTCThat is a very unique creature and would make an awesome model.

2020-12-05 16:29:22 +0000 UTCSome whale inspired stuff would be neat. Also deep sea/eldritch stuff would be cool - anglerfish humanoid would be incredible.
Daniel Richards
2020-12-05 16:01:39 +0000 UTCWater elementals would be great, and has a bit of flexability for use on land as well.
Adam Randall
2020-12-05 10:27:39 +0000 UTCA huge megalofon war b3ast could be awesome, with a coral howden and harpoon guns everywhere manned by little Mermen. Crab men, heavily armoured with large pike looking weapons or a continuous shield arm and a lance like arm Could have one of those crabs that has to swap shells to live in, but hes living in a sunken back end of a ship and has a little sea goblin pirate crew with breathing gear n pirate hats, or they have a magical bubble machine that gives them an atmosphere so they can act like they arent under water 😀

2020-12-05 08:56:28 +0000 UTCI love the daemonic theme. Been following the page for a while but those Daemons got my sub straight away.

2020-12-05 02:20:18 +0000 UTCI'd love to see some sort of anglerfish incorporated into a model.
IBlameMyRolls
2020-12-04 22:21:53 +0000 UTCI agree with Kraken and tentacles attacking out of the water. (something that could be printed on a reasonable print bed! Sea Serpent, Slaads? Maybe some mermaid victims or undead pirates / drowned sailors? I'm going to go through a kilo of resin once you release this months supported models lol!

2020-12-04 20:19:30 +0000 UTCLionfish type creatures would be super cool looking
RathofKelly
2020-12-04 17:27:20 +0000 UTCIt is hard to argue with "I mean the would be some serious squid pro quo." I think some sort of giant octopus would fit your centerpiece aesthetic quite well. I wouldn't mind seeing something involving a shipwreck, maybe like a hermit crab inside of an old boat or something crazier like some sort of golem made out of old ship parts.

2020-12-04 13:56:45 +0000 UTCGood point. And I trust our guys to not just make it look like they're flying either.
eyflfla
2020-12-04 04:30:51 +0000 UTCAtypical merfolk would be amazing, The ocean is full of way more interesting creatures than just what we think of as fish. psychedelic sea slugs, hermit crabs, angler fish, anemones and corals, octopus, squid, cuttlefish, nautilus, and more! These creatures could make great pets, mounts, or hybrids and would differentiate the line from the countless mermaids/men riding seahorses out there.
Nikolas Matovinovic
2020-12-04 04:19:00 +0000 UTCOctopus people for the win! I mean the would be some serious squid pro quo. I can see them with some sort of vehicle for exploring up on land. Sort of a fish-tank.
CURTIS CRADDOCK
2020-12-04 01:25:50 +0000 UTCI would like to see some unique twists on the merfolk concept; instead of fish-halves I'd like to see more eel-hybrids, cuttlefish/squid hybrids (think Disney Ursula) and even things like shrimp-centaur sea driders, which is the only way I can think to describe having a humanoid torso and shrimp tail and legs. I would also like to see a selection of adventurers with undersea gear, so bards blowing conch horns, fighters with shark-toothed swords, rangers with harpoons, and lots of lovely coral-crusted armour.
Gregory Morris
2020-12-04 01:13:45 +0000 UTCregardless of the form of the merfolk i am interested more in their posing. Take advantage of the fact they are operating underwater and are not bound to a planted upright stance, but instead could be diving with their feet/tails trailing their heads or are mid spin in a horizontal swimming position. Something that encourages the idea that these creatures are not engaging in a flat head on encounter.
Nicholas Vidmar
2020-12-03 18:51:29 +0000 UTCReally would like to see some “seahorse” type mounts. A magic user with a sea anemone base. A Druid type character with a eel familiar.
Kyle Lockhart
2020-12-03 17:31:13 +0000 UTCa Kraken and murlocs, lots of comedy relief murlocs. After reading the comments above there are so many good ideas to be used and this could be a really good way of introducing a new faction to the Raging Heroes catalogue.

2020-12-03 10:18:29 +0000 UTCWith all the sexy chicks available out there could we have some sexy male characters for a change 😃
Tye Willis
2020-12-03 09:20:10 +0000 UTC"Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn." Not able to describe the masterpiece, too insane ... But we can imagine keepers, a lot of ancient one statues, some cultists (fishermen, "savage tribe", etc ...) and ... Sacrifices !
Amael
2020-12-03 07:55:22 +0000 UTCEveryone has so many awesome ideas here! But the only thing I don't see suggested is the Glaucus atlanticus. It is imo a beautiful and graceful sea slug( i know, not something most would think could be beautiful or graceful but just Google it) I would love to see one as either a mount of a monster.
Amber Arvila
2020-12-03 07:38:21 +0000 UTCLove the Mermaid theme! This could very much be similar/an Hommage / a new interpretation to either existing movies or upcoming. Maybe? I can definitely see some underwater characters from pirates of the Caribbean (maybe a shipwreck could then become a diorama?)

2020-12-03 06:47:41 +0000 UTCYou the kid squid. I'm not saying make knockoff inklings. But... Make Inklings. Splatoon rocks
Narrator Dave
2020-12-03 05:59:43 +0000 UTCI know this is not feasible for a single months release, but I would love to see various mer-people tribes from the seven seas (akin to the clans from Aqua man). Some beautiful mermaids, some shark people, octopus people, and some monstrous mer-people. for the center piece a Kraken would be amazing. But what ever you do, I'm sure it will be stunning as always.
Jared Aldridge
2020-12-03 05:54:54 +0000 UTCThere is a lot in the deap see, sharks, octopuses, deep sea people, giant crabs, leviathan, turtle's, dragons, jellyfish, sunken ships with treasure, and many more stuff :D
Rigoberto Vargas
2020-12-03 05:51:47 +0000 UTCI do happen to need a merfolk with octopus tentacles for legs
Razz Pitazz
2020-12-03 05:45:45 +0000 UTCSo many of the idea's shared so far are awesome and would love them all, but if you do some sharks could we have one that looks more like a thresher, besides the fact they are cool, they are also my girlfriends favorite. But a nice variety of Humanoid and creature would be fantastic, though I am sure whatever you come up with will be as amazing as the previous sets :)
Trent
2020-12-03 04:27:12 +0000 UTCAgree that deep sea divers would be a nice addition. Of course all sorts of Merfolk, not many sea elves around so they would be great, octopus folk and female weresharks as there seems to be plenty of males around but not females. Dire creatures, like Octopus, Orca etc
Kelly
2020-12-03 03:52:12 +0000 UTCSea Elves with crossbow/spearguns.
Chris N
2020-12-03 03:44:47 +0000 UTCSome scatters to build the tension would be good. Shark fins or the heads of sea creatures sticking out of the surface hinting at the carnage to come.
Roger Marlow
2020-12-03 03:27:32 +0000 UTCSomeone said octopus men or similar. That’s worth another mention....... and yes of course a Kraken

2020-12-03 01:45:04 +0000 UTCThis could be a multi-month project. Mer-folk, Poseidon and the Nereids, Captain Nemo, Pirates of Penzance, & Jolly Jack Tars. Huzzah!
Charles Sontag
2020-12-03 01:19:32 +0000 UTCIt would be a nice change to focus on the "Feed" as opposed to the other two of the four F's that are the usual subject of many miniatures. And at some point after you win the mermaid's / merman's heart you ARE going to introduce them to your mother? She'll be very disappointed if you elope.
Charles Sontag
2020-12-03 01:08:25 +0000 UTCScuba Divers somehow... that would be fun !!
MadMaxMiniature
2020-12-03 00:38:17 +0000 UTCSea elves with light carapace armor supplemented by vicious and elegant merfolk with classical Greek inspiration in their armor or robes. Various sea beasts as mounts for the elf skirmishers. Mage of the deeps mounted atop a violent, angry kraken. Alternatively, a different direction with half man, half sea beast monsters of various sizes and combinations for a darker, more lovecraftian feel. Like a more disparate, underwater version of the spider elves. I'm more inclined towards a rich take on the former, but I'd still lose it over the latter.
Broc Reed
2020-12-03 00:11:33 +0000 UTCI'd love to see an octopus, a hypocampus, and some amazing merpeople.
Annette Reeves
2020-12-02 23:36:03 +0000 UTCA fantasy version of the Nautilus from Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea to go against the Kraken (Cetea). Atlantean themed mer-folk or D&D Triton (how about humans instead of elves?). Moby Dick's great white whale? Greek inspired beautiful and wicked sirens, Calypso, or Circe. Scylla and Charybdis. Lernean Hydra. Hippocampus, a creature with the upper body of a horse and the lower body of a fish as mount. D&D's Aboleth (yes, please!), Marid (water genie), eye of the deep (sea-based beholder), wereshark, sea ogres (merrow).

2020-12-02 23:00:43 +0000 UTCMermaid catching a ride on a shark or whale fin Mer-soldier riding sea horses Mer-folk riding dolphins Instead of a sunkenship as the set piece, I would much rather a Leviathan. It would look so good next to Kh'a Larrh, Crank Klengster, and Vrilz'Ga-Mor (Loyalty, Carnival, and Angle Wurms) Do your artistic sensibilities allow you to crib off of Rodin's sculptures? It might be neat to give him a nod.
eyflfla
2020-12-02 22:33:43 +0000 UTCI'm happy with the dark/sinister merfolk theme, and would enjoy some mounted/dismounted models. I would also love some sea/aquatic elves, as either allies or opponents of the mermaids, or possibly as their land infiltration versions. Monsters are nice, but I feel like I can get sea monsters anywhere, but nobody does beauty like Raging Heroes. Give me as many gorgeous mermaids and sea elves as possible, please!
Dustin Ballard
2020-12-02 22:25:14 +0000 UTCI may be in the minority, but when I think under the sea I think Cthulhu. Lord Dagon, Siren's that are horrifically beautiful, and all kinds of tentacle goodness. Maybe it's just the Lovecraft fan in me. :)

2020-12-02 22:16:42 +0000 UTCAs a person who loves the whole "Kraken/lovecraftian" vibe that comes with a lot of sea tales I'd be super stoked if you came up with something akin to an old-school siren (The scary AF ones) I'm sure y'all are gonna knock it out of the park though!
Benjamin Moore
2020-12-02 22:13:21 +0000 UTCI'm sure whatever you come up with for this set will be awesome. Here's what I'd like to see: - Merfolk (some riding seahorses would be awesome) - Sahuagin (sea devils) - See "Sea of Fallen Stars" (2E) resource and "Ghosts of Saltmarsh" (5E) resource for inspiration; I would like to see your creative touch on these bad guys - Sharkhaan (sharkmen/wereshark)

2020-12-02 21:38:34 +0000 UTCI for one would love to see some sort of muscly beefy shark lady instead of the regular hot mermaids you usually see. :) Same for the mermen of course.
Jimmy Lindqvist
2020-12-02 21:35:46 +0000 UTCthere are a few creatures in our ocean that are scary and have a great design, Maybe moving a little away from the classical fantasy underwater creatures will be a good move.
Silvio Martins
2020-12-02 21:32:47 +0000 UTCNumber one wish is an awesome scare sea serpent. Would also love to see fantasy takes on real fish from deep sea viper fish to seahorses to lionfish, but also fantasy sea creatures like hippocamus and the capricorn someone mentioned (possibly some with mounted merfolk riding)--maybe a sea god figure in a multi-steed chariot. I second the request for big tail fins on the merfolk and lots of floatiing hair too--so they really look like they're underwater. I would like to see more sea creatures from folklore and mythology rather than the standard gaming fare (like shark men, saughine etc.) as there are lots of those already. I'm so happy this theme got picked.

2020-12-02 21:14:23 +0000 UTCI would love to see unique takes on merfolk, more akin to those in MTG, with shark, lionfish, seahorse themes. Also, as January zodiac is Capricorn, it would be incredible to see a lionfish Capricorn as part of this release. The sea goat.

2020-12-02 20:38:53 +0000 UTCA little mermaid!! The one from Denmark or from Disney. Why? Because it is so un-RagingHeroes. It is not one of the usual RH suspects. Make us confused if we love a little Mermaid, although we mostly make/build/print warriors, or if it is not our cup of tea, although she looks lovely which makes her hard to reject.
Marco van Deutekom
2020-12-02 20:31:19 +0000 UTCNot fond of January's theme. :( Not sure how I could field underwater creatures fighting against other armies. :/

2020-12-02 20:29:15 +0000 UTCShark dorsal finned Mermen and Dolphin dorsal finned mermaids, Water Mages, DragonTurtle Epic/Centerpiece, Coral like Armor, Siren characters, various Mythical Mounts ( Hippocampus, Giant Ray's, Jaguar Sharks etc.), and unique shaped sea weapons made from bone of sea monsters hunted down by the pod. 2020-12-02 19:43:32 +0000 UTCHow about making a siren character that has two sculpts: one with claws and scales and carnivorous teeth, and another, more alluring model that represents the hallucination they show their victims?
Val
2020-12-02 19:37:38 +0000 UTCMale sirens would be kickass. One thing I really liked about the November release was the equal sex appeal between the male and female daemons.

2020-12-02 19:33:50 +0000 UTCOctopus men warrior thing. Shark men would be neet. Another large crab . Some kind of small critter like otters would be fun. Frog people. I know they are river more than ocean but it could be neat.

2020-12-02 19:32:25 +0000 UTCMermaids with wings would be interesting. I'm always a sucker for wings, and it's definitely a space that is relatively unexplored.

2020-12-02 19:24:13 +0000 UTCShout out to Mark Ortiz for the captain nemo idea, a 20,000 leagues under the sea theme would be very cool, divers and under sea explorers vs king Neptune's court may be a little ambitious but it would be awesome, and ambitious seems to be raging heroes game these days so maybe. Cant go wrong with a kraken or some octopus thing, people love those tentacles and seahorse mounts would be kind of rad. Also, crab people any one? For merfolk specifically I think it would be cool to branch out from typical generic fish people, it stands to reason that you might find different merfolk from different areas and backgrounds. Maybe have heavy hitter mer orca, mer electric eel mage, mer tiger fish swordsman, octopus anything, puffer fish something, mer shark soldiers, mer jellyfish, mer anglerfish rogue, mer swordfish fencer. You might be able to bring some crustacean into this, crab soldiers could be interesting, A hermit crab monk or peddler would be cool. As a Mainer I would love to see a lobster man but that might just be me. There's plenty of weird fish and sea creatures to pull from, sea turtles could be cool, a mantis shrimp fighter could be rad and if the 20,000 leagues under the sea theme gets adopted, steam punk nautical themed divers and spear guns with a bad ass captain to lead them would be very cool.
Thom Deul
2020-12-02 19:20:32 +0000 UTCHippocampus with rider(s) or pulling a chariotesque vessel, oceanids (perhaps as the hippocampus riders), megalodon or sharks with tentacle mouths... (there are a few versions out there and in popular literature), or mermaids/mermen/oceanids with interesting sea creature halves such as eel, lionfish, scorpionfish, nautilus, anglerfish, knife fish, shrimp, etc. And offset these against steampunk submarines, diving suits, and diving suit style mechs

2020-12-02 18:42:39 +0000 UTCMerpeople with tridents and scale armor is a must in a classical style; complimentary to the pirate set would bring this full circle. Maybe have a kraken that would fit on the side of the ship from the pirate set? I would like to see the merpeople in larger stature, male and female, formidable and seductive, adorned in pilfered pirate’s gold and jewels. A treasure grotto scene would be something different from what I’ve seen on other Patreon’s. I’ve seen warhammer and artisan guild do animal mounts of shark and sea horse... so may I suggest mythical mounts? Seadragons perhaps?
Jake
2020-12-02 18:38:47 +0000 UTCFish, sharks, coral, star fish, cephalopods, shellfish, all these could be implemented in the mer-folk 😁
Jason Beardsley
2020-12-02 18:36:58 +0000 UTCWhat if the mermaids are pissed off at the surface dwellers for all of the trash thrown into their home. They're aggressive, pissed off, and using Ariel's hairbrush (a fork) as a weapon. ^_^
McCrary's Hobby Room
2020-12-02 18:32:55 +0000 UTCMaybe I'm splitting hairs here, but sirens are typically monsters that prey on humans, so they have claws, scary teeth, etc. To me, a merfolk is a fish-human, not a monster.
Jaecen
2020-12-02 18:31:29 +0000 UTCI’d love for their to be a somewhat sinister aspect to the mermaids, similar to those in Pirates of the Caribbean. As with many old legends, mermaids, rusalka and sirens have unsettling lore that feed into our fears of seductive beauty ultimately leading to death in a way which parallels the beauty and dangers of the sea. This would be excellently played out in the Raging Heroes aesthetic... Also, perhaps this is a good opportunity for a crossover with the original Pirate release?
Stephen Pfann

2020-12-02 18:22:43 +0000 UTCI hope to see some deep sea divers in this release. The old school brass dive helmet type. Or Captain Nemo style like the original movie where the helmets are sea shell like. And the Kraken would be sweet. Whether its Bi-ped Kraken or a Squid type I'm sure either one would be awesome.
Mark Ortiz
2020-12-02 18:22:25 +0000 UTCI run enough sea campaigns that mermaids will be very, very useful.

2020-12-02 18:21:23 +0000 UTCIf you do make sirens, making some sort if male siren may be a neat and creative opportunity. Also Kraken would make a great center piece

2020-12-02 18:17:25 +0000 UTCJust to be clear: by merfolk, you mean male and female? Or is there another connotation I should be aware of?
Raging Heroes
2020-12-02 18:14:47 +0000 UTCI would like to see tritons and simic hybrids for my d&d campaign. Sea humanoid models with legs are really hard to find!
Michael Wöss
2020-12-02 18:12:06 +0000 UTCQuite common weapons are trident, Spears, harpoons and nets (like gladiators). For armour corals, scales, fins and shells could be nice too. For the monster Kraken is an easy pick but there are also manta, turtles, sea serpent and crabs in giant versions (often mixed with dragons). These creatures can be mounts too. A hero could have a harp to play (I like the music/dream themes said before), maybe the see queen that sings inside a shell on top of giant "monster" (whale) or surrounded and protected by it (sea serpent) ? .
Lind
2020-12-02 18:10:09 +0000 UTCI'd say try to read the Kings of war army list for their trident realm underwater army and try to make stuff useable for that. Frog units, tidal swarms, coral giants etc

2020-12-02 18:08:08 +0000 UTCHippocamp, sea serpent, sharks, kraken (or octopus/squid), Iku-Turso for a more evil themed campaign, Neptune for a more good themed campaign.

2020-12-02 18:08:01 +0000 UTCYay mermaids! If you go online and try to find nice mermaid miniatures, they are difficult to find. Most miniatures I've seen are oddly proportioned. My favorite representation is the limited edition Freebooter Meerjungfrau which now sells for mad money online. Some have suggested more edgy and carnivorous sirens, but please don't make all of them mean. Maybe one could be eating lobster at a fine restaurant.

2020-12-02 18:03:16 +0000 UTCKelpies would be great, manta rays, whales, and sea turtles (leather back turtle folk don't get enough justice). I love almost any kind of sea were-creatures. A shipwreck golem or mimic would be awesome. Aquatic bones for armor like shark jaws or whale skull shields. Or full high society atlantis stuff. Ancient and powerful technology. Beautiful architecture from beyond time. Think Aquaman movie or Atlantis from Disney. Ocean and Mermaids are a favorite of my wife and mine.
Roddy Novogradac
2020-12-02 17:58:40 +0000 UTCWild West! It's way more unique and not many good designs around. I'd still recommend probably relating it to DnD somehow, like either fuse it with steampunk or use DnD races and class with a wild west spin

2020-12-02 17:58:16 +0000 UTCI have to second the idea of mounts! Sea horses, dolphins, sharks! maybe a merperson with an octopus bottom? Or eel? If flukes, long and flowy and fabulous! (I'm so excited about this one!)
Victoria Sanders
2020-12-02 17:57:38 +0000 UTCI'd be all for the mermaids. Please no Disney version though. Badass take no names warriors with seriously bad attitudes is what I think of when I think of merfolk in a fantasy game setting.

2020-12-02 17:56:34 +0000 UTCI'ld love to see two different styles: beautiful and elegant mermaids and bizarre evil mermaids. Some wicked as Ursula (what about a half octoppus?), mere people or mermaids as Harry Potter style. Also something more lovecraft style as deepers or weird creatures.

2020-12-02 17:54:49 +0000 UTCFor me, something that I'd love to see, is lots of optional bits to decorate terrain+bases... things like corals/water plants (like seaweed/kelp), and little ocean critters (like fish, crabs, lobsters, baby turtles, brittle stars, starfish, sting rays etc). Lots and lots of potential to make an underwater world on the table, but with these we could customise them exactly as we want! And some rocks/shipwrecks etc too would be great :D
Joey D
2020-12-02 17:54:45 +0000 UTCMermaids with shark themes would be amazing! Or just atypical mermaids/men in general. Selkies would be interesting! And then kelpies or seahorse/leafy sea dragon-type riders would be really neat!

2020-12-02 17:48:28 +0000 UTCI just gasped when I saw this - you guys doing mermaids in your style is a DREAM. Okay, wishlist: - dramatic, sumptuous merpeople - with big flowy tail flukes. A little bit exaggerated. Seahorse mounts with dramatic tack. Krakens!! And yes it is a bit commonly done but I never, ever get tired of Lovecraftian themes. A mutant/Lovecraftian tentacled horror mermaid would be cool af! Kraken mounts would be fun too. Trident weapons! Turtles! I’d be so into anything just about, to be honest, but the thing I want most is just really DRAMATIC mermaids, with big flukes and lots of extra fins & tail detail.

2020-12-02 17:47:09 +0000 UTCId love to see the Kraken from clash of the titans as the centrepiece!

2020-12-02 17:46:16 +0000 UTCPlease make merfolk, as opposed to sirens. Lots of creators make sirens, but very few make merfolk. I think merfolk will open up more creative options.

2020-12-02 17:44:30 +0000 UTCThere has to be at least one character who resembles ariel form disney my little mermaid. just all grown up and bad ass now

2020-12-02 17:44:23 +0000 UTCFor troops, you could do witcher style sirens (mermaids with wings) and fishmen (like creature from the black lagoon, but thin and armed with crude weapons). Maybe something on dolphins or sharks as cavalry. For heroes/leaders c'thulu themed is obvious but maybe a kraken style creature would be more unique, or a poseidon style sculpt.
that2guy
2020-12-02 17:42:17 +0000 UTCI would suggest you go with the original "mermaid" version and make them beautiful but in a very evil way. Pretty and nice merpeople are overdone, make them twisted and evil but still beautiful
