Another Preview of the July 2020 Release: Maniac, Korred

Hi again fellow adventurers,

Let’s walk together further into The Enchanted Forest to meet another of the EIGHTEEN models featured in our July release!!!

This one may not be the biggest one - hey, it’s a Korred! BUT it’s definitely the one with the best story! So please meet Maniac!

The Story behind this character…

When we started working on the Fairies, people asked us for many things. One of them being the Korreds. Korreds are some kind of wild leprechaun. I read great descriptions online, such as this one:

"Their beards and hair were incredibly long and dense, snaking out in all directions. Korreds were incredibly carefree, boisterous creatures that valued nature and freedom above all else. They were incredibly prideful of their hair. Korreds especially like to dance in ancient stone circles within forest glades, often led by satyrs with panpipes."

I also read that Korreds like nothing more than dancing while shaking their hair in all directions....

Well... This sounds very much like heavy metal fans having a hell of a good time!

Mmmm... So I thought: "Where should I look for inspiration?" The answer was actually right there inside the team. Bruno, our communication and social media warrior, is actually a heavy metal guitar player at night (he plays in Canadian bands Rusted & Jonesy, and was in a French band called Paraverse), and I always really loved this photo of him. And there was Maniac! (Maniac is also Bruno’s stage name.)

When we showed him the character, as he’s been confined in the countryside since March, he said: “Well, if I keep hiding in the forest, I might look like this in 200 hundred years!!”
