May 2020 bonus: a full campaign with 3 scenarios for your spider elves!
Added 2020-05-27 15:39:55 +0000 UTCDear Patrons, we have something special for you,
Would you like having great resources for your games with this month’ characters, in the Lair of the Spider Goddess? We thought you might ;)
Initially our plan was to gather a few inspiring story bits and videos. But once again we went a bit over-the-top, and we ended writing a full mini-campaign featuring 3 different scenarios! Game Masters, get ready for this!
This cool bonus is only for you, our Patrons. You need to access the download folder (link and password are in this post) and you’ll find a PDF there, go to:
May 2020 Release - Heroes Infinite > In the Lair of the Spider Goddess > In the Lair of the Spider Goddess - Mini Campaign.pdf
Here’s a small preview just to give you a taste of this story:
The adventurers arrive in what seems like a peaceful lakeside village when they get approached by local farmers asking them to come to their rescue: their cows are found dead in the strangest and creepiest way. Investigating the strange phenomenon, they will discover that something much larger and darker is amiss around the village.
It is also a test. It is still a bit rough around the edges and many things could be done better or differently, whether it is the layout, the writing or even the story.
Yet we think it is a fun and rich story and if you put a little bit of yourself in it, you should have a good time :)
But to move forward, we would like to know if you are interested in this type of content:
- Do you like having scenarios like this to go with your printed miniatures?
- Do you like this format?
- Would you like more developed but shorter stories or do you like the idea of a mini campaign that is a bit less detailed but gives you more options?
- What type of level do you prefer: 1 to 5, 4 to 9, 10 to 13, higher?
- Would you be interested in paying a little extra to have a rich and detailed module every month?
- Do you have any extra comments or suggestions?
Please let us know by answering in the comments below
Thanks and have fun :)
Keep it mind that there is nothing perfect in that document, it is more like a big test that is still a bit rough around the edges, yet we think you could have fun with it :)
We hope you’ll enjoy this campaign and that you will use it in your next game, we can’t wait to have your feedback on this! Do you like it? DO you like the format? Would you want more like that in the future? Let us know...
PS: please note that next Saturday May 30th is the last day to download the Spider files! Link in this post!

2020-06-01 16:36:19 +0000 UTCWhat if you guys received scenarios from us and chose the best as ideas for creating your minis?

2020-05-29 17:15:48 +0000 UTCI agree with this statement. If you are not going to get enough interest in the module. Then a stat block and small back story on a printable page to make our own Monster Manuel's out of your monsters would be more use full IMO.

2020-05-29 03:36:08 +0000 UTCI know I'm a bit late to the party, but I think it was an interesting idea to make the scenarios, however you might want to consider making it more like short background stories for the characters/models and maybe a map for the area they are in (like a city for the Thieves guild), things like that can be used more freely with different things not just RPGs, I recall you did that with some of your older minis, you could also make it a short story of the exploits of the characters/models, I hope I'm making sense :)

2020-05-28 20:11:31 +0000 UTCMark you don't need to use the campaign with a RPG, it can also be used with tabletop games, it also functions as a somewhat background story for the models, there is always alternative options for using it :)

2020-05-28 18:20:57 +0000 UTC... What can i say ... First : Thanks for your concern, you really care of your patreon and your fan ! Another great idea ! For the response : - Yes of course - Yes (i don't play DnD but i understand this is one of the most played RPG so you prefer to make a mini-campain for this RPG than another less played) - I prefer that you make something inspirational... Don't care of the format... If you have a specific idea with your specific design, i think this will be the best. - I suggest to make this kind of "bonus" for different level, RPG or type of game : one time a mini-campain of Dnd for lvl 1-4, and the next month with the new release a short wargame with generic (or specific) rules, and the next month another idea... (i think of that because of the next release with the BBBIIIIIGGGG djin and the magnet : it could be a cool strategic and cooperative boardgame : few rules, few cards to print and "voilà"! - Yes, but i will be more demanding about the format and the type of game. - French translation please !! Ok i'm french and i speak english... But i know this is your native language like mine so it will be easier for me to play with this than translate it before

2020-05-28 12:56:50 +0000 UTCThis doesn't do me any good since I don't play RPGs anymore.

2020-05-28 03:00:16 +0000 UTCModules would be great. but IO think a good stat block and background of the creatures would be more important

2020-05-28 01:36:01 +0000 UTCAnother similar tool you might want to check out is GM Binder (gmbinder.com). It is very similar to homebrewery but is generally updated more.

2020-05-28 00:46:32 +0000 UTCWhat I would really like would be background information, the typical lair with how many servants and such. I use a very modified Pathfinder I ruleset, I'm more interested in the backstory and notes from the designer more than an adventure. Thanks!

2020-05-27 21:22:34 +0000 UTCWow! Thank you for the tip!!

2020-05-27 20:40:33 +0000 UTCIt's really neat. For formatting and making it look like an "official" module, consider using the Homebrewery (https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/)

2020-05-27 20:33:35 +0000 UTCIt's not for me as I don't play D&D. It's a cool option for those that do though!

2020-05-27 19:21:28 +0000 UTCDo you like having scenarios like this to go with your printed miniatures? - Hell yeah Do you like this format? - Maybe just stories. Stats and rules can be sorted out later, or maybe even adapted to other systems Would you like more developed but shorter stories or do you like the idea of a mini campaign that is a bit less detailed but gives you more options? - Both fit my needs. Switch between styles as time goes by? What type of level do you prefer: 1 to 5, 4 to 9, 10 to 13, higher? - Epic campaigns are not so common. But I tend to play a lot of one-shots, so smaller scale stories would be my choice. Again, switching between scales would be my preferred option. Would you be interested in paying a little extra to have a rich and detailed module every month? - Yes Do you have any extra comments or suggestions? - I rarely play DnD, but try different systems (even some generic ones I created myself). So I would ask you to focus mostly on stories and background for these guys, do not really care about the npc sheets or special rules that much.

2020-05-27 17:59:36 +0000 UTCDo you like having scenarios like this to go with your printed miniatures? - Yes. I really do, I think it's awesome and adds an extra element to my games. Do you like this format? Yes. Would you like more developed but shorter stories or do you like the idea of a mini campaign that is a bit less detailed but gives you more options? I'm good with either. It would be interesting to see multiple releases tie together in different ways. What type of level do you prefer: 1 to 5, 4 to 9, 10 to 13, higher? I think some variation would work best. But mostly I've seen people play mod tier games. So some 1-5/4-9 would be best for most people. I know I can always adjust for my players and scale the difficulty. Would you be interested in paying a little extra to have a rich and detailed module every month? I would love that. Do you have any extra comments or suggestions? Again, I think it would be neat to multiple releases connect in a way that kind of gives a world building vibe.

2020-05-27 16:59:49 +0000 UTCI know people who are in the same weekly campaign for 2 years and are only level 7. Keep it low/mid to work for the masses (4-9)
ResinandFilament
2020-05-27 16:48:46 +0000 UTCOH, that's so good! I love this kind of additional content, and talking about lvls, maybe could have different lvls ecah month, soy we could use differents of this contents on a same campaing, maybe... In addition, each month could have a different length, acording with the miniature content of that month
Ryouko
2020-05-27 16:47:11 +0000 UTCI'd prefer level 10 and up, simply because there isn't enough great stuff out there balanced for high level play. Besides, these villains seem so powerful..would be fun to go all out
wordflyer
2020-05-27 16:11:00 +0000 UTCThe reasoning behind that is most people prefer to start at the beginning and the upper levels are quite difficult for GMs to get difficulty right as the players are demigods in power levels at that point and for players the time investment to go from 1 to 20 is also quite large. This is why multiclassing is so prevalent. If a player never gets the top tier benefits of a class why be restricted to it at all.
ARM
2020-05-27 15:57:20 +0000 UTCI agree, a scenario that is dynamic and can be adjusted to the level of the players is the best way to go.

2020-05-27 15:52:32 +0000 UTCA research showed that most DnD campaigns don't go much higher then level 10, in most cases. I would also prefer level 4 to 9 because I think this is where the meat of the game lies and it's the most versatile
Jonick Daniels
2020-05-27 15:49:45 +0000 UTCSo most of my campaign stuff is going to be level 15 or higher which goes great with the spiders and the Thieves's Guild. I think if you could make it more story related and have the combat features scale a bit that would work the best.
ARM
2020-05-27 15:45:34 +0000 UTCI think its really cool to have a short little story or campaign dedicated to the models. It gives me a reason t pront them other then they look cool.
