2021-10-23 01:40:01 +0000 UTCSo just a few things to clear up your confusion....Zola, the scientist that they captured in the first Cap movie...he was recruited by SHIELD since he was brilliant, but the whole time he was actually still working for HYDRA, so HYDRA was covertly working inside SHIELD for 70+ years, using Bucky and others to essentially destroy society via assassinations, wars, etc. Bucky was already being experimented on when he was captured and Steve found him....so when he fell from the train, he survived because he already had some form of the super soldier serum. Although Bucky lost his arm due to the fall, HYDRA found him and attached a metal arm to him and continued experimenting and torturing him and brainwashing him and wiping his mind. Everytime Bucky was given a mission from HYDRA, usually an assassination...they would wipe his mind again to make him more of a tool than human. Also when they didn't need him, they put him into cryo-freeze, so that is why he is still young, and that was what Zola meant when he said "put him on ice." Cap is technically stronger than Bucky because he got the most perfected serum, but Bucky as a Winter Soldier is incredibly strong , speaks multiple languages, and has expert level training in various guns, knives and hand to hand combat styles....he definitely isn't someone that can be taken down easily. So glad you enjoyed this movie...it is still my absolute favorite MCU film. Also just an FYI, you missed the last end credit scene...so Marvel usually have 2 end credit scenes per film....1 mid credit, and 1 end credits. These are really interesting scenes so you might not want to skip them going forward because they will be strongly attached to the overarching storyline of the MCU.
