As it has already been said, the CGI was revolutionary and it still holds up today. To answer your questions, Dinosaurs and humans NEVER lived together in real life, but if it happened then yeah a carnivorous dinosaur would definitely eat a person. The Badlands are in Montana and are extremely well known for being a big area for fossils. The accuracy of the depiction in this movie has not really held up, we know now that Velociraptor was likely covered in feathers and a lot smaller than depicted in the movie. Velociraptor is thought to measure about 1.5 to 2.07 meters long and about 0.5 meters high at the shoulders and weighted about 14.1- 19.7 kilograms. However, a dinosaur was discovered that more or less matched the movie, they called it Utahraptor. The movie was filmed in Hawaii. They have NOT truly brought back the Dire Wolf. What they created was a highly engineered wolf using the left over genetic material to remained in a wolves DNA code.

Oh man, I love Jurassic Park. I saw it for the first time in theaters when I was 13. The special effects were revolutionary and to this day I still think they look better than more modern effects. It was a mixture of CG and practical effects. Like the close up shots of the T-Rex they actually built a full working model of the head. You should check out some behind the scenes stuff sometime to see how everything was made. It's so impressive. The Dad comment is hilarious because so many people get confused by that, so don't feel bad. As the other commenter said, Nedry was being sarcastic when he called Hammond Dad. Grant having trouble with the seatbelts in the helicopter was a bit of foreshadowing about the dinosaurs breeding. He had two female ends of seatbelts but still made it work. The Jurassic park theme is by John Williams and is famous, so I wouldn't doubt you've heard it in other places. What a great soundtrack. The water ripples in the cup of water was done with a guitar string rigged up under the dashboard that when plucked, caused the ripples. The arm in the shed belonged to Mr. Arnold (the smoker), samuel l jackson's character, not Muldoon. Mr. Arnold was the one that first went to the shed to turn on the breakers and never returned. The raptor that popped out at Ellie was in there because it had followed Arnold inside and killed him. When Muldoon was hunting the raptor, his death was exactly how Grant described raptors to the kid at the beginning. "and that's when the attack comes. not from the front, but from the sides. the other 2 raptors, you didn't even know were there" At the end of the movie when Lex briefly falls through the ceiling and is pulled up just in time, everyone in the theater pulled their legs up when the raptor jumped. It was hilarious. So yeah, I could go on and on, but this movie is so amazing and groundbreaking. The book is good, too. You should give it a read. A lot of stuff is changed for the movie (in the book, the girl is the younger of the 2 kids). I am not a fan of any of the sequels, or the new Jurassic World films. You should definitely give them a watch to see what you think, and others may enjoy them, but to me none of them capture the magic and imagination of the original. It is a masterpiece of film making.

Yeah he really knew how to make it so tense and frightening πŸ˜©πŸ˜‚ Oh LOL I thought they were actual father and son I think πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I love this film. The CGI still holds up till this day. And Spielberg knows how to tell his story scene by scene, every shot composed exactly right to elicit fear, suspense, laughter, or even joy. The β€œSon/Dad” reference was just in jest because Hammond was giving a talking to to Dennis Nedry like he was a disappointed dad talking to his son. The fun fact about this film is Nedry’s (Wayne Night) outfits in this film all correspond to an outfit that one of the core Goonies (1986) wear in that film. Lol
