I'm not sure if you realised but the OST changed in this episode. Are you watching Kai in the same place? The original Kai soundtrack was made with Kenji Yamamoto, but this was replaced later on with the old-school Japanese DBZ soundtrack from the 80's 90's which sounds really dated. They literally re-use the same songs over and over again. I'd highly recommend watching the Kenji Yamamoto version (Which is what you've been watching so far)

The art will change from episode to episode, and sometimes from scene to scene because different people work on different parts. Dragonball aired as a weekly anime, so they couldn't make every episode movie-quality due to time constraints. They saved the best of the best for the more important fights

Funny how the anime randomly had Goku take a fighting pose for no reason as opposed to the manga where he comments on his powers then rushes towards frieza

It's actually kinda funny because if Vegeta never left Goku alone to face Ginyu n jeice Goku probably wouldn't had gotten his body taken n beaten up n could be there to help fight Frieza but at the same time Goku will get a big power boost from recovering from it

Dragon Ball usually has different animation supervisors depending on the episode. The art style and quality of each episode is directly related to the skill of the supervisor and the amount of time they had to do it, so if you see really good art and animation, that usually just means they had ample time to work on the episode. and a good supervisor.
