Also, we never really saw the the use of the gold in actual play, but my best guess is the gold's purpose was to incubate the eggs so they could hatch. If it is, it sure isn't clear from the animation. Hard to tell if it is molten gold or lava. Great talk about Vorugal and the personality. To the killing blow, I think it was more the fact the blue power beam that shot out from the sword through the dragon's head that was connected with Scanlan's singing howl than it was the eye stab. The Vestiges have the ability to "level up" and get more powerful based on the actions of the bearers. For instance, Vax gained the wings from the armor when he truly surrendered to death. They changed up the sword that Scanlan had from the campaign, but it is a weapon of bards. Guessing that is what happened in that moment.
