If the protagonist lives at the end of this game, that means Luke was not the only active Jedi. That would mean this new character did not 1) help Luke 2) did not reveal himself ater the death of the emperor 3) WAS NOT FOUND BY LUKE 4) did not help fight The First Order and 5) did not help Rey. This game is either going to rewrite original trilogy canon or it is going to be a standalone game that is a last attempt to garner some success to keep the game rights.
