Seeing Ben’s character (Tom) in that moment Joe was talking about, seeing him lose focus and give into desperation and greed was really disappointing. He’s someone you look towards for guidance. You’re the captain, I trust you to not lose your shit. And seeing him like that, you see the weight of all Tom’s baggage on his face. God dammit Ben. You don’t notice the thread unraveling because everything seems to be going well, the story keeps going but before you know it, half the sweater is gone. At that point you just want them to keep going hoping they’ll salvage whatever is left but then Ben’s character dies and you’re like fuck... fuck... fuck... Great movie.
