In Japanese they are not "Emperors" or "Warlords": the numbers are part of the title. Law is not "a warlord", but "one of the 7 warlords" and Kaido is "one of the 4 Emperors". When Caesar says "the 4 emperors" he's not necessarily referring to all 4 of them. He says 4 because he's referring to someone from the "4 emperors" group.

Kin’emon and Momonosuke’s pride as samurai warriors is part of their culture but they take it farther than usual. Kin’emon finally accepts help and is now teaching his son that it’s ok to ask and receive help from others. He says that they can trust the Strawhats which I believe is the real reason for their stubbornness in the beginning. The inability to trust others or at least give them the benefit of a doubt. Very interesting interactions with the samurai warriors so far.
