I think Rayleigh mentioned back on Sabaody that Roger had a gift where he could 'hear the voice of all things'. It's how he was able to decipher the Poneglyphs. He wasn't able to actually read them but he could 'hear' what they were saying. I think it works the same with the Sea Kings and Luffy may also have a bit of that potential power? Another thing they don't really touch on enough is how weak Luffy really is to Piercing and Slashing attacks. Most of his enemies tend to be physical melee fights so he doesn't normally have a problem. But even a small scratch or hole in his body can be detrimental to Luffy. Especially in his gear 2 form. Lucci stated back on Enie's Lobby that it was a very harmful tactic that would shorten Luffy's lifespan. And since then he has been using it regularly without care. Any normal person would have their heart explode due to the strain. So you can imagine that any small wound or cut would be gushing out blood due to the pressure. Don't worry, this isn't foreshadowing or spoilers at all, just something that I feel like they stressed in the beginning and just... forgot about? Anyways, excellent episode! Great wrap up to the arc, can't wait to see the next few episodes. See ya!
