This is the story of Lil Jeff, the self proclaimed rapping hitman who alleges himself to have killed 11 people. Jeff is one of the most strange and twisted individuals I have researched in the Chicago drill scene. This self styled serial killer seemingly only got involved in the gang lifestyle at age 18 after his dreams of professional basketball didn't pan out. But After the murder of his cousin ZMoney, Jeff decided to go all in on the streets, rapidly becoming one of the most deadly shooters in his area. But what's even more wild is the fact that in just the space of 3 years, Jeff claims to have killed 11 people, with some of these supposed murders being contract killings in another state. But not only was Jeff seemingly waging war in the streets. He was also rapping about his every move and broadcasting his street activity. The tragic twist is... after releasing countless songs rapping about how ruthlessly he would chase his opps down and kill them, Jeff ended up losing his life the very same way. Killed in a drill gone wrong, and on camera for the whole world to see. Not only was Jeff's story captured and distributed to the masses. But in the aftermath of his death, numerous Reddit communities formed around both Jeff and his killer. With a bitter war busting out from the streets of Chicago, onto online message boards. As 2 factions emerged at war online. Those obsessed with Jeff, and those obsessed with the man who took his life. I feel like this is the most wild story I have covered since the King Von situation. First thoughts are, Where is he «from» and are they / is he in super active beef? Are the feds knowingly scoped in on the artist / gang. Maybe ill check Chiraqology but 99% of the time will pass on the artist. Because if its drill i feel like there is a such a high chance of the artist not being able to show. (Or even breathe) In 12 months than any other genre. Even if a lot of young ppl over here listen to it, and alot of these artists would have sold out pretty big venues compared to country / city size… How do they even get to double digit bodies??? I feel the old narrative that i probably heard the First time in the 90s that goes: «let them kill eacother off, then he either gets himself killed or we pick him up when it gets «too crazy» is sadly very real. It takes 8 minutes from first shots fired until he is allready dropped off at the hospital and the police is chasing the SUV. trying to outrun police. In those 8 minutes Jeff is chasing him inside. gets sprayed. they collect themselves. sprain a foot. (that heals really fast since he is one of the guys carrying him into the hospital on the still) They drive around the block. Get out and retrieve him from the porch. Not worried about the guy(s) with the assault rifle (based on sound) that was emptying clip in him on the porch litterally and carry him back to the getaway SUV. Then drive north to the hospital wich wasnt exactly the nearest building according to the map. The white hoodie driver just strolling away from the car and then back and this is the same time someone is unloading on him while he is dead on the porch? A lot of things are really strange here. First of all: Time. That was really fast, how did they feel they are safe to pick up the body on a porch where a guy they just slid on just emptyed the clip while he was down on his porch. You hear the extra shots after he is down. Thats most likely hate or to make sure. Meh, im no Detective but he was backdoored right?

Duck was killed in the gold coast which is a huge tourist spot so there are a crazy amount of cameras from the store fronts, to buses, cars and street corners. A lot of these neighbourhoods don't have the same kind of money so they can't have the same security which in turn goes with a lot of unsolved and or extremely hard to solve cases. I know Im not ross but I hope this helped a bit!

I've seen a lot of your stuff and looked at your long list of videos on yt but I didn't see that topic. It'd be great to see you cover the whole story of the Romper Room gang, the bank robberies, the cross town beef with E40 and crew, the alleged beef with 2Pac, the prison stint, his release and rebranding as the godfather of Thizz/Hyphy movement, the Kansas city death, the crazy aftermath of his death with Mac minister and everything else, and the legacy he left and all the artists he influenced. Of course, there's more I'd like to see. I like Von and some of these new artists, but not many. This drill shit is beyond played out and yt has TONS of videos dedication to this literal murder lifestyle. There's a disconnect with some of the younger fans, but I hope one day they can grow up and at least experiment and appreciate other forms of music. I know you're a 90s baby, and I'm an 80s baby but that's cool. I just would like to see more of a range eventually, if that makes sense. No limit vs cash money is more interesting to me than random block of unknown kids killing neighbor block of unknown kids who all listen to king von. Then again, I also like some of the more light hearted stuff, or even the satire videos. Variety is the spice of life, as they say.
