Dalton mentioned that blackbeard was the one that destroyed the country a few months before the strawhats got there. And that was the reason they were so hostile towards the strawhats when they first arrived. Also, imo, alabasta luffy is the funniest luffy of the whole series. I just can't with him in this arc haha
