2022-10-02 08:55:00 +0000 UTCSoo there was a significant change from the manga for these episodes. Originally, Zeff didn't cut off his leg in order to save Sanji. That part was added in the anime. Originally, he saved Sanji, but after he gave Sanji all of the food, Zeff cut off his own leg and THAT is what he ate to stay alive. Probably a little too hardcore for the target audience of the show so they changed that part :D This flashback occurs in chapters 57 and 58 of the manga.
