Shit that happened in 2022

For the past few years, I've routinely sat down at the start of each year and journaled my new years resolutions, things I want to achieve in the 12 months ahead. When the year comes to a close, I'll sit down with those goals once more, giving them a tick or a cross.

But when I went to complete this yearly ritual once more, I realised I didn't have my 2022 goals with me. They were in a diary that was packed up in storage in Australia.

For a moment, I felt as though I had failed. How would I score myself on how well I did?! How will I know if the past year was a success???

I let myself feel this anger for a moment, and then I asked, "Who did I BECOME this year?"

Looking back on these past 12 months, I realised a lot of shit happened, and I'm not the same person I was at the beginning of 2022.

I achieved ALOT. But I also failed, and that deserves just as much acknowledgement.

Shit that happened:

✨️ Quit my full-time job

✨️ Suffered from severe anxiety and disassociation

✨️ Held my first interstate naked yoga event

✨️ Started a podcast

✨️ Caught covid & missed a huge gathering (I was devastated)

✨️Shaved my head

✨️ Began exploring non-monogamy

✨️ Fell into a deep depression

✨️ Started cognitive behavioural therapy

✨️ Went on my first solo road trip

I encourage you to do the same! Pull out your phone or take a piece of scrap paper and dot point the shit that happened in 2022 for you. Good, bad, and everything in between!
