Those who follow me on Instagram may know that I have taken a break from social media. I found myself waking up each morning, reaching straight for my phone, and scrolling each night before bed. So I decided enough was enough and went cold turkey deleting all my social media apps for the foreseeable future.
Isn't it sad that mental health breaks now revolve around our social media usage? But it's the world we live in now... It's our lives, our income, and our connections. But it has felt incredible to remember who I am beyond my feed of images. Without an audience of prying eyes.
While I've been 'away' (not posting on social media) I've been doing some serious soul searching in the form of some hard-ass CBT therapy and transformational breathwork. And turns out I was burying my bullshit real deep down inside but this self-work I've been doing got me feeling like Buddha!
