"Really- the Motherboard, too?"
Added 2023-10-26 23:02:03 +0000 UTCLast night, we installed the new power supply, only to discover that the motherboard on the main development machine was burnt out, as well.
It will take another four days for as new one to arrive.
As frustrating as this has been, work continues. Buoys are being placed, the controller continues to be refined, and work on the brief preview of the story that we want to include in the public Beta is all but complete.
We apologize for these continued delays - and hope that we can meet again on Tuesday, of next week!

I always forget that I have a stash of thermal paste from old projects and order more, only to find the stash and add another tube to the collection.
2023-11-04 15:23:37 +0000 UTCBetter make sure you have some CPU thermal paste on-hand! (It's the sort of thing I tend to forget until I'm actually doing the repair!) When you change out the motherboard, you'll need to remove the CPU & pull off that heatsink, and it's *not* a good idea to just re-use the paste that's there. I'd offer some of mine, but I'm in midcoast!
