Rude TAROT of Magic: The Magician

Once at a bachelor party we booked the Groom a magician. When the magician showed up, he seemed very cautious, confused, and worried. He wasn’t sure what a bunch of men wanted to do to a magician at a bachelor party and he seemed to be prepared for the other shoe to drop. We watched him gradually realize that we were just a bunch of enthusiastic dudes who wanted to see some magic to celebrate our boy’s nuptials. When the magician realized this, he experienced what I can only call Manic Relief, so much so that when I (Tim) gasped at a trick with delight, he went into his trick back and brought out a ziplock bag of edibles, which he exclusively offered to me (TIM). I got really high and freaked out at his other tricks which he seemed to appreciate. At the end of the night we shot the shit with him about magic. When some of the group brought up that they had seen Derek DelGaudio’s In & Of Itself, the magician pursed his lips, holding back his real opinion, to say that Derek was “very talented.”

It turned out the groom was not into magic.
