The 100 714 'A Sort of Homecoming' - Full Reaction

I would say that the majority of character deaths in tv shows are generally pointless.... just like in real life. With the exception of a sacrifice to save many or to reveal something pivotal. Like Diyoza went out with a big sacrifice for her daughter, and by extension the whole place. But it's still pointless and stupid because Hope didn't have to be so reckless. You can always make a case for pointless, except maybe when actors are exiting. So, while there were behind the scenes issues with the actor and creator at play here... (I wasn't in the room, so I'm not going to take sides. Morley asked for a reduced schedule and he was obliged.)... fictionally-speaking, the season did just fine without Bellamy. He wasn't missed by me, and it allowed Murphy to really step up & shine as the male lead. Bellamy has never been my focus of the series, and many original characters have met their maker, shockingly. Within the storytelling, Bellamy was absolutely going to tell Cadogan about Madi... and we'd be right where we are now. Bellamy might be right about transcendence existing, but he was completely delusional about Cadogan. Clarke eliminated the threat in front of her... probably hoping it might end there... and not knowing that it wouldn't. She'll carry that, too.

At first I also believed Bellamy’s death was pointless but after what the disciples do to Madi it makes sense. Can you imagine had Bellamy been the one to bring Madi in and Clarke seeing what happened to her. There would be no going back for Bellamy and Clarke would’ve prolly shot him anyway
