I feel like Murphy has had the greatest character arc of anyone on The 100. While also still remaining an unconventional, irreverent survivor. In my eyes, John Murphy has grown into the male lead of the series, especially this final season. As for Bellamy... I don't find his turn too surprising... he's always been susceptible to following a cause, like with Pike. It's a pattern of behavior. I have to roll my eyes when he says 'I'm trying to save you!' Um, you're the reason they're now in extreme jeopardy. And even if he means their souls... it's obvious that 'call me Bill' Cadogan's way is not the right way. He's an extremist like Pike. And Bellamy's examples of the City of Light and the Primes as a defense of believability makes zero sense... because they fought to end/stop both of those things. So comparing his new philosophy to those, is not reassuring. Even if transcedence is real... Cadogan's way (burning Becca at the stake, etc...) to get there, is not the right way.
