The look on Ada’s face as she’s watching Tommy make his case to the embassy representatives fascinates me. The fear and concern she’s feeling is palpable. I’ve always thought that because of her determination to stay away from the business her brothers are in, she’s kind of forgotten how much she cares about them. I remember thinking, when I first watched it, that seeing her hardened big brother in this state could bring her into the fold more effectively than anything that’s happened so far, like it’s her turn to be protective of him for once.
