Decide the next 'Eavy Metal Marines
Added 2020-07-25 15:32:33 +0000 UTCI was able to pick up a copy of Indomitus! I'd like to paint one of the more special space marines for 'Eavy Metal Marines. Suggest some chapters for me to paint! I'm not going to redo a chapter I previous painted, and I'd like to avoid doing a chapter that's a similar color. For example, I've done Black Legion, so I'd be less interested in doing Black Templars (unless there was a sweet alternative scheme, because those bladeguard scream black templar)

2020-07-26 06:00:16 +0000 UTCI'd absolutely go +1 for Fire Hawks, aka Legion of the Damned before they were Legion of the Damned. There's plenty of room for exploration with their paint scheme, and their primary color of a sort of dark desaturated orange/ochre is very unique among Space Marines.

Or that Lieutenant would look mighty regal in Emperor's Scythes purple with a hot pink plasma glow. We know how you love the hot pink.

The 'Eavy Metal blue/grey along with the shoulder colors would be a rad tutorial. But you aren't feeling it. So, how about White Scar? (Noting your 30 min ripper on them) As with black, it's what's around the white that makes it "white". Roman just did an article about white not being white. So yah... long explanation to say WHITE SCAR!
